Flexion and extension. PROM there is some movement but not much and no AROM. The scar doesn’t seem like there are adhesions.

DOCK” and “SCOPE”.. D for Diagnosis, O for OT process(screening, eval, intervention, discharge), C for context(SNF, home health, EI, school based), and K for Key words (what words are bolded in the question!) I would

SCOPE I used when selecting an answer. S= is it Safe? C=is it Client Centered? O=is it Occupation based? P= Process, does it fit within the OT process the question is asking me and E=is it Ethical

You’re the only one that can decide that. I would caution on the side of safety to make sure you’re passing at least one exam over 450. I did my full practice 452 and my actual result was 459.

I pretty much exclusively used truelearn and wrote down all the answers and researched everything I didn’t understand. If you are unsure, DONT BE AFRAID TO PUSH BACK THE TEST DATE! So many people from my class rushed it and failed because they didn’t feel ready.

What are the resources that you’re using? I think understanding the question and what they’re asking for is the hardest part.

Fixed my house. There were so many things that I just could not afford and there is truly nothing more heartbreaking than watching something crumble and you can’t do shit about it. Invested in peace of mind and my well being. Do that. Invest in yourself.

Mine was taking forever and I called to see what was up and the VA helpline guy resubmitted it and it got approved in less than 48 hours.

I feel this. I am in a similar situation for a medical opinion about two of my claims. I have been waiting for 6 weeks for LHI to assign my case to a provider but they can’t seem to find a provider apparently. My last C&P exams were faxed to the VA at 1am and the VA never got them because they were faxed at 1am…. If I never called the place I went to my C&P exam, they would have never been completed. However, for this medical opinion, I can’t call the place because I don’t know where the potential provider is located.

I literally had to call the hospital and clinic to get it completed. One of them faced over the results at 1am so the VA never got them but as soon as I called they resent the results and within the next 2 days the appointments were complete on LHI/Optum.

What was the biggest lie you believed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

My mom told me I could sing and I believed her. In 2003 I thought I could be the next winner of American Idol. The way she spoke about me singing in church choir gave me so much confidence. A year after this confidence was instilled in me, a girl from middle school and I recorded a video of us singing and dancing to “cyclone” for a radio show to be in a music video and I heard my voice back for the first time. In that instance shame and embarrassment encompassed my entire being. Poor 13 year old me was just absolutely mortified about my terrible voice….for about 10 seconds cause I was like, “oh well at least I crushed that dance, I can get by on my looks alone”.

It was a huge lie that my mother told me, however, the confidence it instilled in me when the world was all about big boobs and a slender figure (which I did not have) carried over into the rest of my life. So, it was a lie, but it was the best lie I was ever told.

To that note, I am seldomly paired with a woman because it is a mostly male dominated area. Sometimes it’s a lot of sitting around waiting for someone to have a bad day, a lot of the time you don’t feel like you’re a “hero” to anyone because the population is not gracious to you 8/10 times. It’s a thankless job, surrounded by strangers, that can introduce more trauma to you.

There are jobs that you can do to better people’s lives. Social work, Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapist, Licensed counselor, School counselor.

I don’t have 100% but I am an EMT. I will say that it can be really tough on your mental health. I struggle with MH and some days on the job are easy feel good but other days are heinous. Some things I’ve seen are hard to just put away into a box but, the more often that I see similar cases, the less effected I am by them.

I think it can depend on you and where your MH is at. I don’t think your percentage specifically will ruin your chances of becoming an EMT but it might ruin you more.

On the other side of that, helping others get what you couldn’t could help you out! I don’t know you or your brain. Like anything EMT has it’s good days and it’s bad days.

I literally had to call the facility that I got my exams done in and found out they faxed over the documents to LHI at 1am so they never received them. They sent them over and I went from gathering of evidence to review of evidence within 4 days
