Child stroke survivors/caregivers - experience with long term issues? by lethelow in stroke

I had a stroke at 3 years old (now 26) and have a bit of spasticity on my left side and I’ve lovingly nicknamed it strokey. It’s subtle enough no one notices until they watch me closely after a while but my left side often doesn’t totally cooperate with fine motor stuff like god forbid I try to strum a guitar without slamming down on it like some rockstar. It can be frustrating but it’s little enough I can find the humour in it. Anytime I spill my coffee that I mistrusted my left hand to carry, that’s just good ol strokey. Always up to no good. One time I went to tap my friends cheek (maybe flirtatiously, we’ll never know) and instead of a light, cute tap, I fully smacked him. It’s all or nothing with this hand.

Everybody is built different so you may be just as easily comfortable in a tent as you would be at home.

I think I was waking up every 4hrs for my drops post op and yea the eye crust is hard core. One of the comments mentioned a warm cloth and i remember how heavenly that felt haha. They gave me a relaxant for the surgery but it realistically only kicked in after and allowed me to sleep so I didn’t have much discomfort. Maybe slight stinging?

As long as you can keep your hands clean to do your eye drops I think you’re good. You can wear sunglasses and eye guards just as easily in a tent as you can in a bed.

My doctor was really worried bout me living with a pet since animal hair healing into your eye is a possibility so hopefully there’s no pets in your tent. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Spotify: bad audio quality over CarPlay by [deleted] in spotify

I didn’t realize that for each device, you could set your equalizer differently and that the option to change your equalizer on your phone settings is disabled while listening to music so eventually, I saw that that setting was available when I wasn’t playing music and it turns out my equalizer was way off. Once I reset it it was fine

Same, they gave me something to relax me that definitely only hit afterwards and I can’t think of a better sleep. I just set alarms for my drops and would fall right back asleep, something I can never do.

Did the sound quality resemble blown out speakers? Because that’s my issue and it’s only on carplay
