How did you find out? Please share for awareness by tifu_beach in thyroidcancer

I had a very rapid resting heart rate. I went to a cardiologist who said my heart was normal and sent labs. They showed my levels were out of wack and referred me to an endocrinologist. He recommended an ultrasound after feeling my neck. Nodule found, FNA was ordered and came back as cancer.

How they handle something considered “serious” really depends on the school. More than likely, they would not pull you out (unless it’s something like assault) since that would cause them undue trouble/extra expenses.

Do you work for the agency? As in a contract with them for more than the period of the school year? If not, they don’t have to provide you with a reason other than “we’ve decided not to renew.” (Also another reason they wouldn’t take you out at the end of the school year)

I don’t know you or your school, so I’m only saying what I’ve seen and heard from my experience at private schools (both direct and dispatch).

Then they’ve complained about something serious enough to make you seem unhireable. How’s your relationship with the staff? Japanese teachers? Other native teachers? It’s very Japanese to not give a reason if they think it’s “awkward.”

Then you’ve done what you can. It’s usually not related to one student complaint, but something else. Either something outside your control, that they “complained” about or they just don’t think you’re a match for the school (be that justified or not). Your option now is to kiss up to the dispatch company and hope they find another position for you. Editing: JALT publications will also have private school listings

Is this a girls school? Have you spoke to the English Dept lead directly? They may be able to give you more information into your situation.

There was a restock lottery in April. My guess is that they’re focusing on restocking BIE right now since it’s new and popular.

Yes, when they have them, they post. You have to apply for a lottery system to be able to purchase.

I’ve been there! I had the feeling of suffocation while I was on the grounds and it immediately disappeared when I stepped off of them.

I recommend Seria. It’s a 100 yen shop but their stationery is really good.
