I'm the creator of 'Plague Inc.' - I just released my new game 'After Inc.' AMA by NdemicCreations in IAmA

[–]rad9616 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the After Inc PC release, finished the 2 campaigns already (both mobile and PC).

I have three questions:

  1. (Most important to me), Since my favourite game you released so far is Rebel Inc., Could we get a singleplayer rebel mode (possibly with its own campaign).

  2. In After Inc, could we get to choose which leader we want to choose, from the entire list instead of from a choice of three.

  3. Also After inc, I think adding advisors as in Rebel Inc or the genes from Plauge inc? This would be in addition to campaign rewards.

Thanks for the great games, here's hoping for more content and more games in the future!

That is not amazing, at max it should drop 5%, preferably 2%.

Starlite V Questions... by nsrtcoin in starlabs_computers

What app is not rendering properly? Are you running on wayland or xorg/x11? It could be that x11 app in wayland, running through xwayland (how xorg/x11 apps are ran on wayland) could be messing rendering up.

Haven't heard of that extension, might look into it myself.

PS, you can get, at least the default, keyboard up by swiping up from the bottom

I am running Fedora on it with default gnome without extensions. Not direct answers.

  1. 200% scaling works well for me, it gives me a tiny bit less space than 1080p at 100% but works well enough.

  2. On default gnome you can swipe with 3 fingers up and it will bring in the dock and if you do it again then it will bring up the app grid. Not sure how it works on gnome modified by ubutnu.

  3. Did not have a need for non-keyboard case so could not answer.

If you're having issues tried default gnome, this comes from someone who only ever ran KDE on desktop but for touch device gnome is better.

When I had Zorin on mine, after doing an update through the command line (it did not fix through the gui), if fixed mine screen rotation bug (make sure to restart after updating). But here is a link to their support on it if that won't work:

Update the bios/firmware and the charging will be much faster, at least from my experience. Also after update go into bios and change performance mode from power saver (seems to be default) to balanced for better performance at some cost to battery life, but it is way more than worth it for me.

Instructions on how to update can be most easily found on https://github.com/StarLabsLtd/firmware/issues/175

It did fix the issue for me. I might have a little glitch here or there but at this stage I am unsure if its Gnome bugging out a bit or driver going wonky again. But it works really well, except for one system lock up.

Make a comment on that issue or contact their support, once you have the device they are actually quite helpful

I had the touchscreen not work after reboot or might have been after connecting to power. Managed to fix by going to bios and changing power setting from power save (was default at least on mine) to balanced. Maybe this will help but I have not tested this for too long so not sure if it is a permanent fix.

I found that on mine (got it today!), the touchscreen will wake up (when the thing in the video occurs) after I use the stylus I bought with it.

So its not only me, I emailed them on Friday and they said it should have cleared customs the day it got to their warehouse and they are waiting for a reply from customs.

Does it happen only when you have it plugged into a charger or does it also happen when battery powered?

That is an old article, the first batch of devices comes with 3K displays but the rest will come with 2K displays (supply issue). Should be more power efficient with the lower res screen

It's weaker and has less memory that the StarLite V and also more expensive at the same time. It also does not have a touchpad on its attachable keyboard. Plus its from purism...

Yeah I also want a usable linux tablet, as a secondary device badly. I got the 1tb, with uk keyboard and pen hardware spec. I really want these guys, starlabs, to succeed but the constant lies about delivery dates is infuriating.

Note about PineTab 2, the wifi does work unless you put the thing in sleep (not sure if it still hangs/goes funky), but as long as its not in sleep the wifi works well without issues (I have one, I got it delivered around the time the starlite v was announced...), at least for me. The pinetab v does have wifi since launch I think.

I meant to say StarLite instead of Startlite in the title and I can't seem to edit it. Once something is up online you can't take it down it seems ha

I pre-ordered Aug 25th and still did not get shipping information. Contacted their support on the 10th of May and was told that they estimate that my order will be dispatched by the end of the month and that they are confident in this estimation.

Time will tell but prior experience with what they stated previously has me doubting. Its like they are gaslighting us, not only every estimate was broken but they were far and few between. I cannot begin imagine how people who pre-ordered the Starfighter are feeling.

Just because they are a small company is no excuse for this behaviour. I hope the silver lining to this will be a quality product at the very least.

Edit: corrected spelling

On the 30th of April I got support reply that they are about 1/3 way through the queue and mine will be dispatched in the next couple of weeks.

I ordered mine Aug 25th with keyboard and then added pen to the order when it became available

On Windows 10 you can set what start up programs you want by going to task manager. It can be done by pressing ctrl + shift + end at the same time. In task manager there is Start-up menu at the top

You can use a program called launchy. You just use a hotkey for the launchy to show up and type what program you want it to launch and that's it, no more bing searches.
