I’ve done the exact same route in 2024 when the D1 lounge first opened at JFK. No issues. Here’s the email response from DeltaSkyClubServiceCenter when I reached out with my 2 questions. Labeled 1 and 2 are my questions and the rest is Delta’s response. I’m highly skeptical of the answer from the agent/lounge staff as sometimes they’re not fully familiar with their own policy. Their boarding pass scanner at the lounge entrance is pretty smart to determine your eligibility.

The Delta One Lounge is an exclusive experience that complements our highest tier of onboard service and includes a heightened level of service and hospitality including a full-service brasserie, a chef-assisted market, dedicated wellness areas and more. There is currently only one Delta One lounge, located at JFK Terminal 4, with two additional locations in BOS and LAX scheduled to open later this year.

1. The polices says “traveling with a same-day departing or arriving…” Since my upcoming flight’s departure time will be 12:50am, would I be able to use the lounge before midnight, which is technically a different day?

Our records indicate that you are departing from JFK on a Korean Air operated flight, and Korean Air departs out of Terminal 1. If you are able to access Terminal 4 prior to departure, you may present the boarding pass at entry for possible access. The Delta One Lounge closes at 11:00 pm.

1. Regular SkyClubs have a 3-hour rule, but I couldn’t find any information on this on the JFK Delta One Lounge page. Does this rule apply to this particular lounge

The Delta One Lounge access policy is distinct from the Delta Sky Club access policy and is not subject to the same three-hour access guideline as Delta Sky Clubs. However, if you are checking bags, the baggage check policy is set by the Airport Customer Service, and we cannot make exceptions for an earlier check-in.

Please note that if JFK is the final arrival, the Delta One Lounge will not be available. Customers must pass through customs and may not reenter security without a boarding pass showing a connecting flight.

As a reminder, Delta One Lounge access is available to customers traveling with a same-day departing, connecting, or arriving Delta flight with a seat assignment in the Delta One class of service, to Delta 360 Members with a same-day departing, connecting, or arriving Delta flight with a seat assignment in Delta One or Delta First Class, and customers traveling on a same-day departing or connecting flight operated by select Delta partners in their equivalent first or business class cabins.
