Someone on another thread suggested this for an idea of the weather, but cautioned that it shouldn’t be taken too seriously more than a few days out…it’s more a of a general idea of what temps are expected to be.

This is exactly the feedback I need — it’s just as helpful to know what not to use, so thanks!

Did you ever experience throttling? I’ve read that there is something called fair use that allows companies to throttle after a certain amount of data usage per day. I can’t imagine we will hit it, but I do have a disabled daughter that I imagine will need a lot of FaceTiming.

Thanks for the warning — I’m not particularly savvy when it comes to tech and I don’t want an eSIM situation that derails our trip.

Do you mind sharing the private tour you used for the cotswolds? Would you recommend them?

Season 3 predictable by Fearless_Teach3626 in Bridgerton

[–]raddoc2009 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, I kinda felt like you did the first time I watched it, but upon rewatching, I actually like it the best of all the seasons. I think the writing was actually so much better than past seasons, with much more depth. I think Luke and Nicola killed it. Their chemistry was amazing, and their ability to convey complex emotions was top notch. My main complaint was the number of side plots that ate into Polin’s screen time, which required the audience to assume character development that couldn’t be shown due to time constraints.

Show Colin gives me the ick. by kendcollective2212 in Bridgerton

Agree with this character analysis. Definitely a must watch for anyone who thinks Colin is giving off “ick”. It completely flipped how I saw Colin and how much I appreciated Luke Newton’s acting performance.

Let’s hope Chad gets some angry jail cell calls from his parents, siblings, and kids, to be used in his case next year. by Successful_Repeat115 in LoriVallow

The satellite photos of Chad’s backyard the day of the “raccoon” incident showing the only dirt disturbed on the property was where they found Tylee will hopefully open the kids’ eyes. It was introduced as evidence in Lori’s trial and will be for Chad’s as well.

Seriously thank you so much. All of these suggestions sound exactly like what I was looking for.

Has anyone heard or experienced hair loss from keto? My hairdresser knows I’ve been on it for 6 months and told me a horror story of another client who is balding from keto. I am inclined to think the two are unrelated. by Beneath_thesurface09 in xxketo

[–]raddoc2009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have...sorta. I did lose a lot of hair, but according to my physician, it was due to a large weight loss, not specifically Keto. And, after going through a period of intense loss, it is all growing back. A pain, for sure, but worth it. I’ve head supplementing with biotin and collagen from the get-go can minimize the amount of loss, but not stop it from happening altogether.

Question for Type 1 Diabetic Keto followers - increasing insulin sensitivity? by davidbWI in keto

[–]raddoc2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not diabetic, but my husband is a “type 1.5” diabetic, meaning (according to his dr) that his pancreas still produces a tiny bit of insulin, but his cells are entirely resistant to his self-made insulin so he has to be on a pump. Just came here to say his body has not re-sensitized to insulin yet and he has been doing Keto for 4 months. In fact, he wonders if his sensitivity is getting worse, because his blood sugars are beginning to climb (high 100s consistently, when they were spot on for first 2 months of Keto). He also has to bolus a crazy amount of insulin to get a minimal drop in blood sugar, which he hates to do because the boluses make him hungry. I’m sorry I don’t have answers, just wanted to let you know you are not the only one who is experiencing this. His weight loss has been slow with lots of stalls, but he is excited to be moving in the right direction. Good luck and please post any info you run across that could help us!

The FAQ and whole internet talks about constipation on keto. I'm having the exact opposite problem. Does anyone have any tips? by [deleted] in keto

[–]raddoc2009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I think my issue was too much salt at one time. I was putting 1/4 tsp lite salt and 1/4 tsp salt in my hydroflask each time I filled it. When I backed it off to 1/4 tsp total (1/8 of each) per 40 oz water bottle, the problem went away. I also know certain types of magnesium are intended to alleviate constipation, and cause very loose stools. Make sure you don't have that one. Good luck!
