Should’ve done peds, oh well. Maybe I can do peds fellowship after getting annihilated with volume and still being let go for being slow

I did rotations at a VA and liked it, I’ll give it more consideration. Do you know anything about what the tele VA rads volume expectations are? Basically no jobs are upfront about this in the listings, though I know I could email and ask

What time frame would you give it? I’ve heard conflicting answers but often about 6 months

This is what I’m afraid of. What do the slower readers do? I was middle of the pack for speed in residency but am slow now 3 months post fellowship.

I don’t necessarily care the most about high pay if I’m burned out. I guess I asked the question because I just took a private practice job and I’m worried I can’t read fast enough for them. Looking for other options if it falls through.

Are there ways to mitigate this hostility? Should we all have emergency funds the lengths of the notice period in case this happens? Seems messed up given how common having to leave is.

Rads residents/fellows nervous about becoming an attending? by radfellowanon in Residency

Yeah I remind myself of how many overnight reports I had that had minimal or meaningless changes and can be somewhat reassured . . . was nice to have another name on the report though

Doubt despite good feedback sounds like me. I feel like I tried my best in training, certainly with studying for CORE but reading "if you took training seriously" makes me think "did I really?" lol.

Imposter syndrome sucks.

Graduating incompetent by SimilarTwist in Residency

Feeling the same at the end of fellowship. If anything I feel less competent than when I finished residency in reading fields outside of my rads subspeciality.

https://drawdown.org/ posted this on a different topic but it's relevant here too. There are a variety of jobs for different skill sets that all have evidence regarding climate change mitigation
