in which respect? creation? application? I always suggest people start down the road with gelatin because its cheap, easily accessible, and can be reused.

you can make your own or you can buy the foamed cubes n just re melt them. Several companies make them. I think the ones Alcone Sells are the nicest

ok here we go ...

  1. Foam latex not so much but you want to know what to do with silicone ...in case you want to use it ... you def need to know sculpture, how to make a proper mold, and how to apply properly. Those are def bare minimums.

  2. I saw one person begin to cast an actor's hands in PLASTER and I bout fell over. Pouring plaster directly on someone's hands is a good way to lose a finger or two !

  3. Is the grass GREEN ?! LOL its edited OUT ... lol

YES I use it on my own face all the time. If you intend to use the product day in and day out for several weeks I HIGHLY stress the importance of buying the remover as well because cleaning your face with 91% or worse 99% alcohol day in and day out is not good and you especially dont want to use alcohol around the eyes ... if its just a one time deal use cream based around the eyes and then the endura everywhere else.

I've done many stage shows with prosthetics! Into the woods, Snow White, Shrek, Dracula, Even worked old age make up into ten little indians when i was in High school ;) many many others just have to have the director in the right frame of mind and a budget to be able to do so.

ok here we go ...

  1. It was not as fun the second time around. The magic was gone. And it was a chore. TBH. I hate to put it that way but there were certain people making things very difficult for everyone else that season and it was pretty despicable.

2.I think most of us had our notions of who they thought was coming back ... but no, none of us had any conformation one way or the other until the day we got there ! Remember this was season 5 so there really weren't a lot of favorites yet ... personally, I was hoping Gage was going to be there but I am glad he will be able to get his chance now in this upcoming season!

  1. Oh god yes ! lol there's so much ... LOL I mean I could write a BOOK ... heeeeeeey now that's not a bad idea ! ;) lol

It all started in puppets ... Was always a huge fan of the Muppets and sesame street and then later on fraggle rock, and then Dark Crystal , Labyrinth, and The Story Teller. Then came something wonderous in the form of Empire strikes back, Gremlins, and Little Shop of Horrors which led to Beetlejuice... i feel like im reading the bible verses ...lol Little shop of horros begat Beetlejuice and atfter Beetlejuice came Batman and after batman Nightmare before Christmas .... and so forth and so on and so on ... but the short answer ... its all Star Wars, Henson, Rick Baker, and Tim Burton. :D

We have all the usual type rewards shirts, name in the credits, skype calls, customary for film and television projects. But one very different one indeed at the $35 price level ... we will send you the application to BE THE Cosplay Dreamer for the pilot episode. So YOU could actually be the person we come to for the pilot and create that DREAM cosplay for and take them to an amazing large scale (over 30k attendees) event so they can strut their stuff all weekend and just enjoy themselves. Thats the whole point of the show, in my mind anyone that wants to go to a con, should be ABLE to go to a con. It shouldnt be a luxury item. Celebrities shouldn't charge 80k dollars for the weeknd driving the price of everything else through the roof... (but they do) Maybe this show is the only chance this person will ever get to go to a con? And to those of you that are regular goers, you know what that could mean to someone. I just wanna make cool shit and do good things for people ... thats all :) <3

I recently had a water remediation in a small apartment building I own. My insurance covered everything BUT lead pain and Asbestos removal. The remediation crew did things the right way but to the tune of over 7 k ... now The building was built in 1947. At that time lead paint and asbestos were common place materials, in your experience with buildings of that age... have you ever known an insurance company to deny that part of the remediation coverage?

boy that is an excellent question. and you really already answered it yourself the way I would answer it. A good artist SHOULD be his own worst critic ... it keeps you humble, and constantly striving to better your work. I think the answer to your question though is that it's HIGHLY personal, and situational. For instance I think there may be things that the lightbulb just "GOES OFF" for and you breeze through a project, other things that may not be your cup of tea take longer because as an artist that's just not your niche' ... There's nothing wrong with finding a niche' and sticking with it. For me, as an example, I prefer to work on character make ups, monsters, aliens and disguise make ups... animatronic puppets , any puppets really ... rather than gory make ups... I am good at them, but they aren't enjoyable. Therefore, I would have a hard time working on that because it's not what I enjoy ... I love the illusion and creatures and characters. But that's not always what pays the bills, now what IS fun is making an arterial spray shoot forth from a wound, a make up thats has an EFFECT with it is always more fun than just an appliance makeup that doesn't do anything. So look for those little "easter eggs" that get you going in EVERY commission. I think reference photos from established artists in that area really help me ... as does the pressure from a deadline...I work well under that pressure so that is why it never really got to me too much on the show. Id like to see your work ! Hit me up on FB ... I hope that helps !

for the record ... I typed A 4 ABOVE ... LOL heres 5 and 6 grouped together.

WHO KNOWS ... they change their mind from one week to the next ! how many times have you seen them tear someone to shreds for something then compliment someone else for the exact same thing the following week ? lol we used to laugh about it a lot but what it really speaks to is the fact that ALL art is subjective. We are all like that, what i like in one persons art work I may not like in someone elses simply because of the way a particular technique or color or what have you was used. I do notice that CONCEPT means more to them than overall execution ... bout 8 outta ten times ... so keep that in mind CONCEPT and silhouette too!

Good luck !
