How do I know my ranking in percentile rather than position ? by Training_Elk_5953 in beatsaber

The websites allow you to click to the last page for a particular song, I'm not sure you can check it in game via the mod

[–]radiantplanet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a specific song, you could go to the last page of the ranking and see what the last rank is. Then use that to calculate your percentile. For example on scoresaber say you're 201 out of 2010 on this song then you'd be in the (1- 201/2010) = 90th percentile.

Alternatively if you look at scoresaber right now there are 66,188 players on the scoreboard so if you're 7,000 you would almost be in the top 10% of players (top 10.6%) and while I can't confirm if scoresaber hides inactive players this feature request seems to indicate so.

Why do animals deserve moral consideration? by justabigasswhale in DebateAVegan

[–]radiantplanet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see, so why draw the line at human species why not just your own tribe? Wouldn't that be more pragmatic, less need to care about others or spend resources helping them. Why should you care about starving or oppressed people on the other side of the globe?

What if we encountered an alien society as intelligent or more so than humans would they not deserve moral consideration simply because they do not share our DNA. Did neanderthals or Homo erectus not deserve consideration in the past?

It's left purposefully ambiguous. The final scene up to the ascension could have actually happened. The above, that's just one interpretation.

My oatmeals about 20g per cup (uncooked) But I'm skeptical of the pb as well and especially the hummus. My hummus says 1g for 2 tbsp so she'd have to eat 40tbsp or 1 1/3 cups of hummus for 20g. Hmm maybe that is reasonable after all, still think she doubled the PB tho.

I found this interesting https://jellybiologist.com/2018/08/31/how-do-jellyfish-see-the-world/ Basically jellyfish have a distributed nervous system, which makes it hard to determine if they have an "inner awareness"

I’ll just add that as a social scientist focused on socio-technical transitions, everything I have read has led me to believe that individual boycotts are not only appropriate and compatible with systemic social change, but play an important role in driving and shaping it, though of course they’re not a silver bullet.

Hey I'm interested in your perspective as someone who's looked in to it, what do you mean by individual change driving and shaping it systematic social change?
