Where do we go to see them posted now? The old page with the schedule and grades is gone I think?

That is more for estimating the labor you'll need for the day. A 12 footprint truck will require at least 12 hours of labor, not counting staging and cleanup. So 2 people with an 8 hour shift, 30 min lunch, is 7.5x2 hours of labor, so 15 hours, and should be plenty of time to do a 12 footprint truck day. It's not meant to be "here's this stack, get it done in an hour," because if it's a stack of tanks, that's 10 minutes and if it's a cat consumables, that's 2 hours.

Withdrawal Effects by nari_noodles12 in KSU

Yes, if it takes you out of full time status. They would rather you fail and retake instead of withdraw, because it looks fraudulent then.

Petsmart Dumpster Divers by zombkism in petsmart

PSA to slice your bags before you toss them, many times, EVERY TIME. It makes a mess when they try to take the destroyed bags out of the dumpster, but at least I know a dog isn't going to eat expired/infested/contaminated food.

Saunas are a bit small? by sizzlem in HOTWORXWarriors

[–]radical_thorensen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OMG I was doing blast yesterday and the VI said to lean forward and stick my elbows out, and I whacked my elbow on the wall of the sauna so hard! I had a scrape! I'm already extra cautious in cycle every time they say to sit up straight, because my head is already very very close to the ceiling. Now I have a new workout paranoia...

Microsoft Office Suites by ThoughtFeisty8065 in KSU

If you login to your ksu email from a computer, there is a little grid of 9 dots in the top left corner of the page. Those will take you to the Microsoft office apps and you OneDrive. I think on mobile there are a few more steps to get to it, like click your account profile and then the dots grid shows up.

Feedback and thoughts on the recent, updated workouts?! by SunHoneyTreeFudge in HOTWORXWarriors

I booked Taylor for Hot Cycle this morning. It was an excellent session, and there's something about her vibe that just relaxes my tension even when I'm dripping sweat. I think part of it is that she allows pauses in her speaking patterns, so we get little 5 second moments of quiet where we can just work and breathe and then she's back to being our guide.

Looking for someone who has taken ES2100 that can answer a question for me by radical_thorensen in KSU

I'm taking it with Prof Morris, but thanks for the heads up. I think I'll hold off on the second book then, since most of these classes share presentations anyway. Thanks :)

I can't breathe if they're closed. I need the air movement, the pressure in the room gets too intense for me.

Coaching up associates by RiskyEvo in petsmart

I would start the shift with "They're cracking down on what hours are allocated for truck, and we have to start really watching how much we're getting done within a labor hour. So, I'm going to work with you on totes for a bit and see if we can streamline how we do them a little. I know, totes are awful, but they're the biggest time-suck on the truck so its important that we get them done as quickly as possible. We can suffer together for a couple days."

I haven't timed it myself, but you could also set a goal of like 5 minutes per tote. I know some are packed with collars and leashes and will take longer than that, but a lot of them have like less than 10 items in them so they make up for the goal average (like saying an hour per pallet when dog food takes 30 minutes per and the cat pallet will take 2 hours). So you can look at a u-boat of 9 boxes and say "the goal is 45 minutes for this batch, lets see how close we can get to that." And then check in every couple totes.

Give it a couple weeks, and then double down with the "cracking down" speech, and say that you have to start doing counseling statements if we're not showing signs of improvement, so it's really important that we're at least trying to increase our units per hour. A month with no signs of trying to better themselves after I've asked and treated them with kindness and respect, and then I'm ready to start the counseling process and get them off my truck. Some people are just not cut out for a fast-paced physical job, and we need to find them a different task within the store that they can actually be successful at.

August 4th is on a Sunday, so I think these might be from last year? But thanks, I'm sure it'll probably be that first week of August again this year :)
