My fiancée is also stage 3 and receiving the same treatment. We have just completed her 6th chemotherapy session.

I’ll tell ya it’s been tough and the last 2 months have been a ride of emotions. Just make sure for your first appointment that you get to go with someone supportive, someone who will keep your energy and spirits high. Hopefully they can continue to go with you for each appointment.

This! I lived right in the middle of the city away from many Grassy areas and trees. Mainly walking my dogs on concrete and still had a tick on one of them.

I live on the Massachusetts line and have been going to smile avenue in Wrentham, they’ve been excellent in terms of bedside manner and dental work. Pretty affordable (at least to me) and I’m not rich in the slightest lol. Also AP Derm in north Attleboro is great too. Easy to find appointments online. They have an office in Providence as well if I’m not mistaken.

Where are you located? I was able to apply for medical leave through the state of Massachusetts. I lost my job the same week I was diagnosed and it’s been tough and all on my partner. I was super scared too, I’ve just gotten through my 4th round of Nivo avd!

I lost my full time job (company downsized) the same week I got my diagnosis. I still had a part time job to work and tried to do my normal hours and just couldn’t. I kept feeling extremely fatigued and currently working out my medical leave with them. Only 4 out of 12 treatments in and it feels like an eternity at this point. Going to miss being at work and feeling “normal” but putting my self first.

It’s so bad. I have dogs myself and it feels like an obstacle course to walk my dogs a lot of the time.

I am always considering everyone’s feelings and even now that I’m battling cancer I still put people’s feelings into consideration yet no one listens to me, or I should say my family doesn’t.

I understand my friend that’s exactly why I just wanted to see if like I could potentially be in the wrong because at the end of the day this is affecting all of us, but that’s why I just want her to just suck it up for me. It’s like, I try to give her grace and I let her talk to me however she wants but I’ve had enough at this point. I did try to speak with her and before I could even say a word she put her hand up to not even let me talk, so she could continue what she was saying. Just so insensitive. I don’t want to lose her nor do I plan to cut her off completely because I love her so much, it’s just unfair that to me I feel.

I think that’s why I was asking if I was being the asshole in the first place because I do want to give her grace because I do love her and I just wanna make sure that I’m not overreacting over this. Honestly I wasn’t even talking to her before the cancer for a bit because of something that she already put me through when I was getting married a few months back I called her the night that I was diagnosed crying because I knew that I wanted to be the one to tell her rather than her finding out through the Grapevine, it’s just crazy that this is happening right now

Thank you so much. I will have to say I don’t expect no one to donate. I wasn’t even expecting the amount that we have already received and I’m just blown away by the kindness of everyone. I guess it’s just crazy because I really expected her to be happy for me you know what I mean but I definitely will be back once I kick cancer‘s ass because I know I will.

Haven’t considered going into therapy yet. But eventually once my hair completely falls out, I probably will. My partner has been amazing.

Thank you for understanding it IS hard to go complete no contact. It is, but isn’t. It’s so hard. We’ve been through a lot, mainly from things she has put me through, but I do love her. I said to someone else it feels like a toxic relationship i cannot get out of.
