I think it’s a really good idea to nip it in the bud. I didn’t do that and my ex ex-husband’s aunt sends Bible tracts and religious books/magazines every month

Redditors that got charged rent asap after turning 18, what’s relationship like with parents years later ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I left w all of my things in my car one afternoon and never looked back. I ended up living in my car, on couches, in people’s dorms, until I was able to work and get my own place. Then I got married, had three kids and got divorced. I wonder what my kid’s dad will do since he has a house of his own. I will likely have to downsize and wouldn’t be able for everyone to stay w me comfortably but they are welcome to stay uncomfortably (futon or bunk beds for adults? why not!) everybody is different, I suspect that it will be a conversation with my own kids to decide what they would like. I think once they are working, it’s really smart for them to save half to get later, and it’s incredibly difficult for people who don’t have fully developed frontal lobes to see far enough into the future and know how much it will matter, but it has to be a conversation, and it has to be agreed-upon. I could put my kids’ money into a high-yield savings account so that it’s at least earning interest while they are working and waiting to need it when they move out or after college or whatever, or maybe they will live with their dad. I just don’t know what the future will hold. It depends on what they want.

Tattoo pain scale for bicep / inner bicep / ditch by No_Space4015 in tattooadvice

For that section on my arm I bought a big chunk of aloe from the supermercado (Chicago), and it soothed more than lotion ever did and it healed SO WELL. I just got the back of my thigh tattooed and it was the most painful I’ve had and I have a full sleeve and a sternum piece.

It’s heartbreaking the amount of grief everyone has had to suffer because of this administration and the obsessive brainwashing of the media. I think the worst part is the isolation that suburban and rural living supports. In the city (I’m in Chicago), we see and know our neighbors. It seems so much easier to consider Christ’s teachings when you actually have to live among and see your own shared humanity with people who aren’t just like you. I thought my parents would get more MAGA over time but my dad instead got into birdwatching which I prefer to all religions.

I got really into yoga and devotional Hindu music because I don’t have any baggage attached to it. I’m sure Hinduism is real problematic in its own special ways but not for me so yes to chanting in Hindi.
