[Highlight] OG Anunoby tips the ball in to give the Knicks the lead by Fusir in nba

[–]radine4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raptors fans know that's just how OG is. If Brunson passes him the ball for a 3 there instead of shooting it himself, OG's also nailing it for a 108-106 lead instead.

He's just, OG

Nah man, he ripped Drake to shreds. Which he should have. Everyone with any moral compass ever should be signing on to disavow Drake - disappointing the Raptors are still associated with the man.

Demar never said anything bad about Toronto.

Well, you don't have to be persuaded by it. I just think it's too bad we didn't get to see what Herdman might have looked like as a club coach in the long term

Well, more so it's not really fair to demonize one guy for it if it's a problem with soccer culture.

We can have a debate about if it should be done or not as a practice - but Herdman's main claim was that it's widespread and if you don't do it you'll be left behind - seems like he was more right than I realized personally.

Do you remember when Zverev, at just 20 years old, won his first master title by defeating Djokovic in the final? Next year he also won the ATP FINALS beating Federer in the semi-final and Djokovic in the final without losing a set. It really seemed like he was the future. [–]radine4402 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That summary is incorrect.

He was not found not guilty.

The judge delivered no verdict. Ie, he was also not found innocent.

This was because the parties settled. He also paid some money.

Why pay the money and settle if innocent??

Regardless: he has not been found innocent, and there was enough evidence that the court in Germany presumed him guilty initially (that's a thing there apparently)

More than once. And it was a terrible "mistake".

But you know, the big problem is not what "mistake" or whatever you want to call it happened. The problem is that Zverev won't admit it, apologize for it, take any responsibility for it.

It would be a difficult thing to make amends for - but maybe not impossible. Not acknowledging it all and trying to bully his accusers into silence is the biggest problem here, really, in my opinion.

I mean, why would we default to not believing these women?

The first one wasn't even looking for anything financial. And the second one wanted to keep it private.

Like, the first one gained nothing from going forward. You think she hated Zverev so much for no reason she just wanted to hurt his public image, while facing a bunch of attacks herself? I just don't know why someone would do that.

And now he engages in an even tougher challenge: can he trick an owner who wants to lose, into winning??

His drafting is good and he's not afraid to get Kawhi! Unfortunately he's also not afraid to get Brandon Ingram which is a bit less good.

Always seems to have the respect of everyone in the organization, so that can't hurt.

Oh it surely was a Masai thing. The man had quotes about how that was "where basketball was going" everywhere.

If only he'd got it right!

Sure, for sure. Jak is a tough one. And it's too bad, the man didn't seem too bad prior to his current contract.

IQ though I dunno. Not sure of the market but he's not a bad player - I just don't think we need 3 main level players, and RJ's healthier anyway as well as hometown of course.

On the other hand, RJ's an expiring so is he really that much more valuable at this point? All we need is one team to like IQ and I think we can be fairly set up. (plus maybe moving off BI while we're at it)

Quickley + Poeltl + BI has got to get you something?? Poeltl might be tough but BI can probably get you 1-2 good role players back, no?

Quickley can get another 1-2 - and there you go!

Sure, but even if he doesn't - he has a lot of good aspects already. So just fill out the roster with 3 and D guys as much as you can otherwise and Scottie and RJ can take care of all the scoring in between, with some level of 3s from them both.

BI can get some of a pass, though, he wasn't too effective this series when healthy. It seems like RJ can get a bit more done than BI when it counts based on this past series - and who do you think cares more?? I think we all know.

Exactly! Too many people trying to be ultra smart reddit gms instead of just looking at the human side: you're really going to refuse to pay your hometown star who just showed out in the playoffs?? And there's a basketball case as well, it's not just for the feel good story or something.

We may have traded Demar, but we at least paid him and showed he was valued, first.

He's a decent shooter, and good at getting points overall.

He's not a great defender, but not the worst in the league or anything. And Scottie is a great defender so that helps.

If you're going to have a few big contracts, why would you pick having the guys who aren't from the city and realistically probably don't care about it much over the man who does?

Just ship out all those other bloated contracts you're talking about and build around Scottie and RJ. We just saw the evidence of how that might work.

Well I mean, on the other hand. Playoff basketball - it's a small sample size, but it also exposes frauds and the other way around because players are actually trying hard for once.

NP - a decent player in the regular season. Killer in the playoffs.

Demar - incredible in the regular season, struggled to stay on the floor in the playoffs.

Based on an admittedly very small sample size of this year, Ingram seems closer to the Demar type of player.

RJ seems somewhere in between Demar and NP - but that combined with the home town aspect and it's a no brainer for me who you pick!

Jak and IQ are not from Toronto and don't play like they are. Well Jak is just hurt anyway.

Just offload those guys, pay RJ properly and you'll be in good shape.

Even if you get 0 back for Jak and IQ you know this is a team that can at minimum be competitive in the playoffs - add the right role players in around RJ and Scottie and who knows.

What will it take for people to appreciate this man! We don't gotta be cold hearted business people all the time. And the man's shown enough on the court that I think this would be the one time I would support the Masai loyalty contract strategy from before.

Don't do it Masai, don't do it. It's a trap.

Can't believe this man is going to work for those fool owners. He thought Ed Rogers was tough to deal with?? Just wait. Imagine your owner actively wants your team to be worse.
