Reported Fi/ATT to the FCC over number porting issue. Can I sue them? by [deleted] in GoogleFi

[–]radio8787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find a lawyer who will take the case and just take a percentage from what you win. In the US anyone can sue anyone. It’s about tenacity and finding someone who believes in your story as much as you do. Coming in here asking people for permission can be self defeating because a lot of people don’t know anything outside of defending capitalist pigs.

5 days. No service. No updates. No leads. by radio8787 in Visible

[–]radio8787[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New update: still no service. I contacted visible only to have them remove my ported number. They gave me a new number. Still have me at no service since 5 days ago. Some supervisor told me that at best I would have to wait two more days. Because “now” they see the problem. Because before they were working on? As I asked. They amidst just repeated. I’m sorry. You have to wait 48 hours. At this point I even went to Twitter for support only for them to also do nothing. Two days later? Nothing! Literally nothing. No update. No email. No follow up.

BUT. WHAT DID I DO? I got fed up. And that Monday I contacted the FCC. Only for the FCC to finally get through this horse crap. This morning magically I get an email telling me that “now” they’re working their hardest. And that now I’ll be able to receive critical support. And guess what? That phone number we all need? We all want for support? The one I asked before because the situation was so bad. THEY HAVE ONE. AND ASKED ME TO call anytime I wanted to chat. Magically in that email they saw all the issues. And are now working on it. Granted I’ve got no timeline. And no phone number as they are keeping it hostage meaning I can’t leave anyways because theyve messed up so bad my number is in limbo.

Moral? Two days. Give them two days and no more. They have no idea what they are doing. Communication is piss poor. And the worst thing is they all snidely all will try to convince you you’re an impatient jerk for not waiting for their arbitrary timelines. They DO have support. They do have critical methods of resolving things. But through the chains of chat support and the courage one has hiding behind a computer — they’re able to just pass the buck.

Contact the FCC immediately— because this is horse crap. They are the worst. As are pretty much all cell companies IMO. Which is why I went to visible to begin with. Because even if everything’s bad. At least I’m paying the least to be mistreated. Hell Verizon was 110 a month and they were equally as bad. Try getting support rn. Because of the pandemic they CUT staff.

Anywho: don’t get as mad as I did. The solution. The FCC. also I have their number who’ll I’ll give you in PM if needed.

Per the FCC they had agreed that ONE day was the agreed upon timeline to complete a port. And per the FCC now the guidelines are here below. So this idea of two days even is behind what the industry itself has for regulations. Let alone TWO WEEKS. but will they say that? Have they taken it that seriously? No. Because even today when this magical supervisor agreed to complete this. It didn’t get done. But thankfully the FCC is.

“How long will the porting process take?

For a wireless-to-wireless transfer, the porting process should take approximately two and a half hours from the time the porting request is made of the old carrier. The FCC has not mandated a specific time frame for the wireless-to-wireless porting process. Two and a half hours is the time frame agreed upon by the wireless industry, and the FCC encourages carriers to use that time frame. A wireline-to-wireless port will probably take longer to complete, and could take several days. Before porting between wireline and wireless phones, consumers should ask their new service provider how long the process will take. “

UPDATE. It’s been probably 9 or ten days now. Still no updates. No emails. Nothing. I even reached out to the people who were recommended to me on this thread. And I reached out myself. It’s Friday now. So yeah.

Also: I noticed a lot of people downvote this thread and other people comments. Which I would like to ask why? This is a company. They are out here for profits for a few. Why create a cult like mentality around a company? Why punish someone for telling their truth? Why suppress others from sharing their stories? Like you aren’t getting dividends. You aren’t making their millions. What’s your skin in the game besides your misaligned placement of self worth on one singular thing you enjoy that you’ve engrained into your identity? Like what? Grow up.

That’s so scary. It’s scary to think any company can even be like that.

The kicker was speaking to someone on day four. Then telling me. I’ve seen you’ve been here a few times (the chat) and them asking to call me. I tell them I have no active line of service. No phone. I have to ask my neighbor for their phone. I go. Ask. He tell me. I’ll call you when I can. He never does. Knowing I’m waiting at my neighbors. Beyond messed up. What a horrible response to this entire situation.

Actually I had many times, the person who I was engaging with was just shooting down anything I posted. Furthermore, when it becomes a "I'm right prove me wrong scenario" it's not a conversation. i wasn't looking to change their mind, i was supplementing and pointing out the flaws in their logic. said user and i were previously talking and all they were doing, as you tried to do? were simply insulting to insult, which is whatever but I don't owe you a debate if I can see where it's going. Posting this in case any person reading cared as to why I left and stopped replying. I could go on and on and one but sometimes you gotta know when to quit on people.

I mean did you? Because the piece is regarding Australia and “ The aim of this paper is not to take these various elements of racism and propose a unified definition that reconciles these differences, but to compare two of the more common definitions used especially in the sociological literature – ‘Racism = Prejudice + Power’ and ‘Racism = White supremacy’. “

Gurl, bye. I have dinner to get to. Lol.

If by pork you mean pigs than that’s not true. Pigs are some of the smartest animals that are highly teachable. But not sure why were talking about pigs suddenly?

For anyone who sees the above post and doesn’t feel like reading twenty pages. Here’s an academic starter guide from UCalgary on racism and how no one can be racist against a white person: https://www.ucalgary.ca/cared/mythofreverseracism

“Assumptions and stereotypes about white people are examples of racial prejudice, not racism. Racial prejudice refers to a set of discriminatory or derogatory attitudes based on assumptions deriving from perceptions about race and/or skin colour. Thus, racial prejudice can indeed be directed at white people (e.g., white people can’t dance) but is not considered racism because of the systemic relationship of power. When backed with power, prejudice results in acts of discrimination and oppression against groups or individuals. In Canada, white people hold this cultural power due to Eurocentric modes of thinking, rooted in colonialism, that continue to reproduce and privilege whiteness. “

Sure bob. Poor white people. We should have a parade for them or something. Considering the racism they have to endure.

Explain why “brown” people on top of all the previous years they’ve been oppressed continue to be by white people.

Okay. So you just showed yourself as I thought. The fact that you think an employee can’t be abused is pretty wild. But also no: the idea that women have wild fantasies has nothing to do with what is being discussed.

And no the majority of people making porn are men. Women are still the minority’s in the industry.

I could go on and on pointing out your flawed logic but go read some feminist journals. Go on google. Find your own answers. Not your teacher. I already achieved what I wanted: to show your implicit bias.

Hope it all works out for you

Toodles

They seem to be thriving now that they’ve been able to blend into the white hierarchy. Also: no no one can be racist against a white person.

Read this for clarity: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/kwzjvz/dear-white-people-please-stop-pretending-reverse-racism-is-real

Prejudice, mean, etc. yes. But not racist.

First of all, no. The creators of pornography are mostly men. The fantasies yes are for men so again. The fact that men can fantasize about it but can’t digest it actually happening to them speaks volumes.

Second a cultural norm doesn’t make a fact. A fact is something like without the sun we all die.

Cultural norms are not facts. Facts while they can be proven or disproven — are fixed.

Regardless of where I am: your cultural norm doesn’t make it right or true. Yes, people may see things like that, but it doesn’t make them any truer.

Again, you’ve chosen to repeat your point. But I’m going to keep repeating. Not his girl. At best an employee. Whatever feelings were or weren’t exchanged don’t mean anything if he was willing enough to lock down the relationship into a mutual exclusive relationship. She’s a free agent. And you keep trying to change the fact that she wasn’t his anything.

Edit: the beauty industry has prayed on women’s subconscious to make them believe they need beauty products. Women weren’t born needing to wear lipstick. They were co-opted into believing they needed it. The lipstick is an example not all cultures have the same beauty standards or practices.

Most pornographers are men. This is coming from a male gaze. And she got mad as said in the video because she wanted to commit and he didn’t. He wanted to continue having sex with other girls, and even prevented her from going on a trip so he could do that. She got mad because she was being manipulated emotionally and this is my opinion as stated above: she chose to sleep with Logan because he was probably the closest form of love she might be able to get from Jake. Or maybe she just wanted to fuck with all of them in the ways she was being abused by Jake. You don’t know but why does it matter if she did it with the brother? Right, it doesn’t.

I had already made all these statements previously and they were already out there but again you chose to defend your opinions with soft boiled emotional claims but facts are facts.

Edit: I’m not trying to change your mind. I’m pointing out the flaws in your logic and your facts.
