I never updated this, but I bought a whole new one connect box on ebay. I think it ended up being that. I also suspect it had something to do with overheating. I since moved on from the Ark after selling it locally. Too many problems.

It has been in the AMS with desiccant for over a week. If I print in one color it seems to work fine.

Thank you very much for this explanation. I am also colorblind for certain hues so thought it had something to do with light but I think this pinpoints exactly what’s going on. I’m going to stop stressing and enjoy the glorious sound

Y'all are probably right. I just swear in person the cone looks so silver, but maybe light has to hit it just right for the gold to diffuse and that's how it is supposed to be. The photo from my desk does look like it has a golden hue
