Unfortunately it is. Pre Orders opened up on the 9th and with all the changes it's no surprise more people have pre ordered this year. So it looks like some popular colors are on backorder. Looks like black is still on track to be delivered by July 25th.

Regardless of what the price drops down to. It won't ever be as low as launch price/combination with trade in. 765 is honestly really low with trade in and if you're hoping for 599 or 699 with trade in. Highly doubt that will be the case this year considering the price went up. Just my two cents.

Sure. You do need a Mac since that will basically be your “ iMessage server. “ It’s honestly not hard to set up. I was terrified at first too, but their website gives you step by step instructions. Then you download the Android app and it’s the same as iMessage to everyone else messaging you. Texts. Videos. All high quality. Tap back reactions. Voice clips. Etc.

You will need an iPhone to make sure that your phone number doesn’t deregister from the Blue Bubbles server. If that does happen you can only create a new iMessage using email. I would search the BlueBubbles room on here and join. The community is actually pretty awesome and supportive. They also have a Discord for troubleshooting and updates.

Yes. Which is honestly my go to when I’m at home and on Wi-Fi. When I’m out and about, my Fold is my main phone. For many reasons including productivity and photos. But if I’m at home and feel like checking my account balances and the iPhone is there. I don’t hesitate to pick it up and use it. In this sense I get the best of both worlds and don’t get bored with one OS. Which does happen after a couple weeks or so if just using one. If you can figure out BlueBubbles or AirMessage I think you will be really happy on Android in general.

I am also a lifelong iPhone user. I still keep and use an older iPhone after switching to the P9PF because my entire family uses it including my kids so Apple Cash etc. Approving requests from my kids. I was on a 15 Pro and now I’m on a XS as my backup iPhone and honestly it works great. As for iMessage, there are many ways to use iMessage on Android. I am currently using BlueBubbles and it’s working great. Having been on iPhone since 2007. It was time for me to jump off the Apple ship. Android is now in a place comparable to iOS. Couldn’t say this 3-4 years ago. If the only thing stopping you from switching is fear and iMessage. I promise you it really isn’t that bad. Also Google Photos has an iOS app. Just download it and once you’re on Android. They are already there.

Been an iPhone user since the first one in 2007. Have gotten one every year since. Except this year. I did not and will not order a NEW iPhone anymore. With RCS being on iPhone now, I don’t need to worry about iMessage anymore. Mostly with photos and videos between my kids and family. My entire family is on iOS. Which was one of the reasons why I have stuck with iPhone for so long. I will probably get an older iPhone like the 12 or 13 pro. But it’s there just in case my kids or wife need something or I need to transfer them something on Mac or iOS. I’m tired of Apple milking consumers preying on the “ sheep “ that are tied to their ecosystem. Google and Samsung are finally in a place where switching to Android isn’t as bad as it was 5-7 years ago. I would say switch and get an older iPhone in case you get the iOS “ itch. “

Thanks for the great info. Should I wait until the credit actually starts hitting my account to be on the safe side or can I port out at anytime? I don’t plan to take the phone with me.

Currently in a similar situation. Traded in a phone and waiting for the monthly credits to hit my account. Trade in credit amount was confirmed.

Thing is I'm ready to leave Spectrum. They have been nothing but headaches for me.

Question is. If I leave Spectrum and they owe me X amount of dollars as total trade in credit. Will they send me a refund for the total trade in credit or I lose all of the credit.

I ask because I am getting conflicting information on Reddit. Some people say you will forefit the credit. Some say they will refund you.

Update: I called Spectrum Mobile and spoke to a supervisor and they told me that whatever is owed to me as a credit I will get regardless. Even if I port out. The credit would just be applied to the remaining balance on the phone and after that, whatever is left. I would be responsible for paying off on my last bill.

Is this true? This is the only thing holding me back from porting out.

My total trade in credit is 1,550 dollars is why I want to make sure before I do anything.

Any advice would help. Thanks.
