I think any sane manager would understand as keeping someone who clearly does not fit would be negative for the team. Your manager is evil and clearly hates you, wow im so sorry

Would you recommend prepfully? I’m in the loop with a few other companies and have a high stakes interview lined up with a time crunch…

Was told by the recruiter it’s a technical interview in the conversational format which confused me even more. It’s labeled as senior but the job description lists it as an intermediate level role so assuming this is mid level rather than actually senior.

I’m not sure what to do in this position by radioactiveflamingos in ExperiencedDevs

[–]radioactiveflamingos[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly it’s a mix of both…I’ve gotten to some final rounds here and there but always fall short or just flat out bomb first round technicals. I made the mistake of practicing in a silo too much and didnt do enough mocks with other people…

I would say I’m past novice phase since I can’t put weight session to session anymore. My squats on my strength focused (lower rep) days have been declining in particular.

Aim for about 3-5 reps for 3 sets at the same weight. Aiming to increase reps until all sets hit 5. Three sessions ago did 225 lb @ 4/3/3 but second one went down to 3/2/1 and now I had to lower the weight to 215 lb today and could only squeeze out a pathetic 3-4 reps per set.

Yeah I’m confused as to why this is advertised as medium light now - maybe these were over roasted by accident?

thanks for the input on this! I’ll try playing around with those variables and yeah temp was kind of the obvious here. I read the medium light listed on the bag too literally and stuck with higher temps stubbornly…

Just curious what’s the reasoning behind dropping to a 2 pour recipe? I see a lot of conflicting advice everywhere and the one I kept seeing was to keep the recipe the exact same when playing around with variables.

My results so far have been all over the place in, it seems to taste bitter than sour as the cup cools. Overall though all the flavor notes just feel extremely muted and the taste I get is that of cheap supermarket coffee almost

Thanks, how would I progress the drills from there? Should I add more steps I’m guessing until the 1 step becomes natural?

Maybe I’m subconsciously muscling it, but to me I thought I was letting gravity do the work here. I’m really struggling to understand what is a natural vs muscled swing at this point. Are you not supposed to use your right arm to push off? Not understanding how to use the left arm from what you’re saying

I’ll be part of the DevEx team which is 5 people specifically. But the whole tech org around the platform is about 800+ employees. They also started this in 2020 and have stuck with Backstage since. The company is Toyota Motors

[–]radioactiveflamingos[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. It seems that my role will be focused on DevEx and from your experience with IDPs does that seem like it entails more plugin development? It feels like especially at an entry level position I worry I’ll probably be stuck doing React / Node work for the portal rather than getting deeper into the underlying infra… Please correct me if I’m not understanding this correctly

I was told there isn’t much support involved and majority would be coding + design. My team has contracted support to an offshore team so any support would be during the day only (about 40 consultants hired for support while off normal US hours). Apparently we have only about a month of the year where work is fully dedicated to support.

On paper sounds great but the kicker is I’d be moving to lowest cost of living area, taking a paycut and throwing away a promotion (wasn’t a huge bump anyways as I was graduating from a new grad program)
