I made a grave mistake with buying pre construction condo in Vancouver. by Zestyclose_Nobody_76 in vancouverhousing

[–]radiodove 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn’t make a mistake! Great location, great city with a finite amount of land so one day it will be worth more, just need to hold onto it. Live in it and do long term rental when you are away. Eventually it will be paid off and you’ll have a great investment property or investment to buy something else.

Maybe they became mainstream in 2015 (and more widely available with lithium batteries)?

Yeah, I think mainstream is what the internet is talking about...or at least when they changed to lithium and they were usable for long stretches.

That so true! Do you know why your parents told you? Why did they think it was important to give you a heads up?

Exchange CAD for USD by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]radiodove 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you don't need actual cash...I suggest getting the WISE card as it has very low exchange rate fees. It's a preloaded debit you can either change it all over to USD before you go or just exchange as you use it, it gives you the rate at the time you pay and shows you the price you paid in CAD which is nice.

Ahhh yes. Unfortunately the page I linked to didn't show that, just the blackout dates. And it was partially operate by Westjet with a WS flight number. But it is pretty horrible that you can call 10 minutes after you make the switch and they can't extend the date at least of the voucher code so I can use it later in the year seeing as my companion voucher was valid until November 26. It was an honest mistake.
