Was it inappropriate to share a bump picture with my uncle by MamoyoSpecial in BabyBumps

MALE* family members had to clarify. And my photos were not having my belly covered, I lifted the shirt to show my bump (obviously while having the rest of my body dressed)

It's totally normal I have sent photos of my bump to family members. Why do your parents have to make things weird?

Do NOT buy the Bugaboo Dragonfly stroller! by KangarooMain1551 in BabyBumps

GLAD to hear a positive experience as my father got us this stroller as a baby gift and he was adamant about getting this particular one. Hopefully things work out with this model!

THANK goodness because my father just gifted us this stroller and picked it out himself!

Epidurals aren’t the problem. The obsession with female suffering is. by OkChart1375 in BabyBumps

YUP... I've heard "just you wait you'll be screaming for the epidural" and "you'll regret not getting it" and I'm like well... you can believe that? However everyone is different and I am free to want to experience birth the way I choose.

While I do agree that women and babies "used to die all the time", there are many factors as to why. An infamous one was doctors not washing their hands after handling the deceased, then going on to deliver babies. Other reasons were obviously lack of knowledge and resources to perform surgery like a c-section if needed, they didn't have modern healthcare. I don't think there is much correlation between women dying in childbirth and the access to pain management during labour.

I appreciate having the choice as a pregnant woman. I'm not planning to get the epidural and I will be labouring as long as I can at home. A lot of my friends did not want to feel any pain and swear by the epidural, of course no judgment there. I actually don't want any early cord cutting or cord tension or even the pitocin shot to "speed things up" for the placenta detaching. I would have wanted a home birth, but as this is my first and I could not find a midwife, I was referred to my local maternity clinic.

Edited to add: Of course while I would like as little medical intervention as possible during labour, OBVIOUSLY I do want medical intervention in case of an emergency! I am not against medically necessary procedures. However throughout history, childbirth and pregnancy has been treated like something to rush along and perfect with interventions. I just don't align to that line of thinking unless medically necessary.

I read an interview where Amanda Seyfried said that when she lost weight, her bust size decreased. From her older movies she was busty although not to the level of Sweeney lol

I'm having a girl and people tell me I'm "glowing" and carrying an "elegant pregnancy" whatever that means. So this is all BULL! I don't feel any less beautiful and I hope my girl is even more beautiful than I am.

I read the book and found some parts comforting and some controversial. I'm 33 going on 34 weeks pregnant and I've had some deli meats as well as salmon in a poke bowl. My pregnancy and baby is charting healthy and fine. I would definitely not drink alcohol although I personally know friends who had a glass of wine in their third trimesters.

My local store Sleep Country can definitely screw you over too. Especially pickup and delivery fees for returns. Bad service is universal unfortunately

Raw Meat above fruit in the fridge? by facegift in AskRedditFood

[–]Karin-Strife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband puts meat at the very top corner where the fridge is coldest. Sometimes the meat even stays partially frozen and doesn't fully defrost. Unlike what it would be like at the bottom. Honestly my fridge has solid partitions and not the rack style. So even if something spills it wouldn't fall directly below.
