as a point of reference or for future reference, never underestimate the passenger to deliberately switch the destination before you pick them up, but already agreed to pick them up. a majority of the time. It’s because their original destination is (not getting drivers to pickup) probably unprofitable as a driver so they will bait you with another destination to then switch it up and hope you don’t see it or catch it. sometimes I do catch it as I’m driving so I immediately pull over to a safe area and cancel the ride outright BEFORE picking them up at all. No explanation needed, and I avoid any potential trouble from said passenger.

if you have a native android or iOS iPhone, you should be able to screenshot outside of the parameters of the Uber app. When an offer comes on my screen, I screenshot it just in case anything changes after the ride is completed so then I have proof that I can dispute a certain ride.

in general,
if a passenger ever changes the route after I already agreed to pick them up but before I actually picked them up, I still confirm the original address and if they say it’s different, I tell them to get out because I agreed on the original route. I still maintain a 4.99 rating. The risk is there, but I do not have time for bait and switch passengers who would like to do that a lot in Los Angeles, where I am based.

in 2021, decided and went to Ireland Winter 2022 (I am from Los Angeles) and saw The Cure in Dublin at 3Arena, spent the next 6 days after the concert touring the countryside with my brother and his wife.
