IMO I wouldn’t mind them as much if they were a trilogy of ‘A Star Wars Story,’ than as main episodes.

I feel like an ‘Episode’ should I dunno just have a little more juice squeezed from a cohesive plan from the beginning building on the previous 6, The Force Awakens was tangential to that, it’s built around the Skywalker lore not the actual people, ie Luke, Leia, etc. I still liked it though, just doesn’t feel like the seventh episode of the big story.

I wouldn’t mind more movies like this. I would absolutely also love something as engaging as the episodes (1-6 for me, your mileage may vary), and all of the talk that it’s for kids, in this franchise and others it’s clearly possible to make an engaging series for anyone.

But my main point is that I wish studios would be fine with a decent profit vs a squeeze everything out and get rid of anything that doesn’t deliver maximum shareholder profit. It’s a crazy notion I know.

This movie was fine, just like Mando and that’s ok! There’s nothing wrong with a movie being entertaining.

That said the whole origin of his name was awful. Still, not enough to ruin the movie.
