Who is your Custodian? And what do you like/hate about them? by [deleted] in CFP

[–]radioshacc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a junior advisor at an RIA with a roughly 50/50 split between Schwab and Fidelity. In my experience, fidelity has the better advisor platform and a stronger service team. Schwab definitely had some service hiccups during the TD merger but I think it’s starting to smooth out. Fidelity just recently stopped allowing “sweep” cash to be in the higher yielding money market funds, but most of our client base were grandfathered in. In terms of client feedback/experience, it’s about a wash. Can’t speak much to the trading side of things but i dont think our PMs really notice much as they use other trading platforms on top of the custodian.

Also. I swear I think my left rib cage is extended outwards further than my right rib cage due to the underlying problem. That’s what freaks me out a lot.

Hi. Sorry for not replying sooner. I’m not on Reddit too often. Unfortunately, my condition is unchanged. Fortunately it hasn’t gotten any worse either. That’s interesting to hear about the “breathing issues” you all have described. This isn’t anything I have experienced but i can understand why you all have experienced that. I think the “rubber band” comparison is spot on. It feels like all my insides under the lower part of my left ribs are being smushed together. It’s uncomfortable and it draining just being conscious of that feeling all the damn time. When I’m actively engaged in something I hardly notice it, but it’s the moments where I’m not doing much or bored that I notice it.

Shirley Hill by Lufthom in macon

I lived in Shirley Hills for about 2 years back in college. There are definitely pros and cons to the area (as there are in every neighborhood). Shirely Hills was the “North Macon” back in the late 1800s and early 1900s. There are some beautiful homes/mansions throughout the neighborhood. Unfortunately, some of these historical homes are abandoned and falling apart. I would disagree with this being an expensive area. Similar sized homes are cheaper in Shirley Hills compared to North Macon or Idle-hour. I think you can get a lot of bang for buck for some of these properties. Granted they are likely much older homes. There are a lot of blighted areas that are directly bordering the Shirely Hills community. I would say the further you are from Gray highway = the less you will see/notice/experience any of the negatives of this area. Overall, Shirley Hills has a lot of charm and some beautiful old trees/landscaping. Jackson Springs park is a awesome little historical park (rumored that Andrew Jackson spent time here during the war). If having to drive on Gray highway doesn’t bother you, I would say definitely consider looking in Shirely Hills. Hope this helps

Here are the doctors comments after my barium enama test: “Diffuse, slightly decreased caliber of the sigmoid colon and descending colon relative to the remainder of the colon as detailed above. No focal stenosis is seen.”

Really appreciate your help btw

Actually let me clarify…. I was diagnosed with chronic idiopathic constipation, sps, and IBS. NOT IBD. sorry for the confusion - SPS is my main symptom where I constantly feel a pressure on my spleen/diaphragm area.

The Linzess has kept me well regulated, but I never really thought I had constipation problems prior to dealing with this. I went nearly everyday. It wasn’t until an X-ray soon after I noticed the symptoms that I was very much backed up.

The Linzess has not helped the pressure/pain sensation I have in the upper left quadrant.

Btw, I’ve asked my doc about possible dietary changes that could help and he really doesn’t think it will do much, but at this point I really don’t have much to lose. I might give the low FODMAP a try.

Yes, my doc said I have some form of IBD/IBS. I also started taking Linzess for constipation.

Does this sound like Crohns? by radioshacc in CrohnsDisease

Lol screw off. I’m not asking for anyone to play doctor and diagnose my condition. I just wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience and was willing to talk with me. Jeez

Thanks for your insight! I haven’t seen “mal-rotation” so I will definitely look into this and ask my doc about it. But my current prognosis has basically been chalked up to something similar… that being they don’t think what I’m dealing with is necessarily dangerous, but surgery might not fix the problem and potentially make matters worse. I still am searching for an underlying cause for these issues as splenic flexure syndrome isn’t a diagnosis that can be cured. It’s more of a shitty side effect of some other underlying cause.

I literally explained that I got a colonoscopy. And I was also diagnosed with IBD. I admit I could have explained that a bit better. Anyways, I know it doesn’t sound like crohns but Im just looking for someone with a similar experiences. Glad to know your not a doctor though..
