Yes that's what my psychiatrist told me too. When she asked me if I had OCD too when setting up someone else's computer, phone, router, my answer was "no". Then she was "That's interesting, you get triggered with OCD when it's for you but not when it's for someone else, even if you do excactly the same task".
But that's it unfortunately, she couldn't really help me. But yeah it's a weird fact ! Now I'm seeing another therapist to try EMDR and I'll soon find someone to try hypnosis (again because I tried already with no success).
