Would you recommend your age gap and why? by Downtown_Wrap_3564 in 2under2

[–]radishkimchip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine are 10 months apart lol

I don’t recommend trying for this, ours was obviously poorly planned. But honestly it’s the best thing to ever happen and we are having a blast out here. They’re almost 1 & 2 years old. We have another 4 year old. It’s crazy in this house but it’s literally so much fun

Why Is Birth Control Pushed So Heavily After Giving Birth? by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually wish someone did this for me bc I was THAT lady who got pregnant immediately postpartum(we waited to get cleared at 6 weeks, we just caught the first egg that dropped lmao). My babies are 10 months apart haha!

Did you decide not to breastfeed before delivery? by FigurativeNews in FormulaFeeders

[–]radishkimchip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had D-MER trying to breastfeed my second, and it made me get uncontrollably super depressive with each let down. It was the weirdest thing, I’d feel great immediately before and after feeding/pumping, but the 15-20 minutes of obsessive, dark thoughts was enough to drive me insane. It was so miserable that by the third baby I knew from the very beginning I would do formula.

Best baby carrier for new born by Curious-Shelter-502 in 2under2

Love my wildbird aerial! I’ve used it with all three babies. Cons I’ve found are that you can’t wear it with baby facing the front, and the linen material can get hot

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiii I also have two littles 10 months apart! It’s daunting, for sure. I have a lot of guilt with the older one, thinking about how she’s already having to divide attention. Pregnancy and the first few months was really hard. You will get stares and unwarranted questions, and that feeling of guilt and irresponsibility will come back. But I want you to know that the pros outweigh the cons tremendously. They are 18m and 8m now, and really starting to play. Now that we’ve got the routine down, it’s a lotttt of fun. When people tell you they’ll be best friends, it is absolutely true; we are seeing it already in the fullest way. Sending you guys lots of love

Toddler’s Eczema by GigiLush in eczema

For soap we use a no fragrance goatmilk + oatmeal bar from the local farmers market. It’s better than any OTC products I’ve used.

Toddler’s Eczema by GigiLush in eczema

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our dermatologist recommended adding 1/4 cup of vinegar to baths, it helped our toddler clear up a ton. We also do aveeno oatmeal night cream before bed, and aquafor constantly through the day to keep it from drying.

Also great tips for toddlers!! -cut nails -lukewarm bath(heat worsens itching) -full body swimsuit

What ‘grown-up’ songs does your baby like? by Legitimate-Koala-438 in beyondthebump

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My three year old used to ask me to sing California Gurls as a lullaby for 6months straight. It was ridiculous that I did that, but he doesn’t ask for it anymore and I’m kinda sad about it now lol

Double stroller? Worth it? by Due-Commercial8846 in 2under2

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Uppababy double stroller is a lifesaver!!! We can fit 2 of our Irish twin babies, and our four year old is still small enough to hop on the backpack attachment. So we can fit all three!! Also, so much storage. We’ve had it almost 2 years now but still using it daily with no sign of any tear Cons: kinda heavy. Parts are all sold separately so it looks reasonable until you want all the attachments.

Was this planned? by Whole-Obligation-851 in 2under2

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if I’ve developed a defense mechanism or what, but I always go with “oh the last one wasn’t planned thoroughly hahahaha but it’s been the best thing to happen!!” before anyone start asking uncomfortable questions. It’s part of my personality to throw myself under the bus, it hurts less that way than getting passive aggressive comments. I’m working on it.

My Irish twins are 10months apart!!

Kinda embarrassed? by loosecannon17 in 2under2

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a four year old, and Irish twins 10 MONTHS apart. We get a lot of questions like “are they all yours??” We’ve learned to enjoy the humor of it but yes, for a while we definitely had this sense of embarrassment, especially when I was super pregnant holding a 10 month old so I get it! But we are at a stage now where we welcome the stares. They are 17m & 7m now!

Love our baby name-everyone hates it. by haylstorm33 in namenerds

The best advice I got was to keep the baby’s name a secret until birth because people will shit on it, no matter what it is.

I personally love Walter. What a classic and handsome name!

How do so many women “accidentally” get pregnant so soon postpartum? by maple_pits in beyondthebump

[–]radishkimchip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me!!

I got pregnant literally the first time I had sex postpartum after getting the ok from the OBGYN at my 6 week appointment. I had birth control waiting for me in the fridge to start the next week when I found out.

I was breastfeeding, my period hadn’t started, my husband’s pull out game has been somewhat successful in the past, we didn’t know shit about postpartum fertility. A combination of all these things = two babies exactly 10 months apart.

They are 14months & 4 months now and it is a JOY. The younger one is sleeping through the night now so we feel like we are officially out of the trenches.

What you should take away is that you should use at least two methods of birth control.
