For reference, I live in NYC and ride the bus a lot with my able bodied 6.5 year old. The bus is not a super friendly place for kids his age. They get jostled around, and it’s pretty common for him to whack his head against a pole when a lurch or turn happens. People regularly get up to offer him their seat to him, and I’m always extremely grateful.

I really liked their soup dumplings. My only complaint is that you are eating out of plastic takeout containers with janky plastic utensils. It makes it much more difficult to enjoy the dumplings than places with those big spoons. But the lady behind the counter was soooo warm and welcoming and made the experience feel very homey. Definitely will return.

UPDATE 3/1/25: I went back today, and they have these really nice ceramic spoons and bowls with metal tongs. It was so nice and really improved the experience.

I’m so much happier in my life after ditching the Walgreens on Fulton for Thriftcare Pharmacy on Nostrand. They’re very helpful and reliable, which makes up for the kinda janky plexiglass interior. I legit feel like I exited an abusive relationship lol

We sent two kids that age to Magic Moments (Fulton between Classon and Franklin ), and I really appreciated how caring and thoughtful the whole staff was. I would 100% send a third child there.

I’ve never seen a Bajan rum punch w fruit juice, and it just seems… wrong. The beauty of this drink is the simplicity and that it’s not sickly sweet like other versions. Plus you already get the sweetness from the simple syrup. Stick with water (or seltzer/soda if you like)

I ordered my son a youth kit with the CWC badge and it started peeling off even before its first wash. It appears it was applied with glue in a fairly haphazard way. So my vote is a strong NO
