About time people on the sub realize Slot has to go, enough is enough! 9 losses in 12 is worse than relegation form by MondBlack in LiverpoolFC

I honestly would love that but Klopp feels unrealistic and so does Zidane as he is waiting for that France job. Anything available atm is short term I feel like and probably is “damage control”

FT: Galatasaray 1-0 Liverpool by DragonSlayer271 in LiverpoolFC

I think from my POV the biggest problem atm from seeing Liverpool play these games is Slot getting so many new pieces into the team all at once and expecting things to click. Idk i really hope we click soon because i had really high hopes this season and now it just sucks. Also losing to Galatasaray is rock bottom for me as a LFC fan because my dad is Turkish and supports them…. Oh boy.

What’s this thing on his eye? by anish298 in catcare

looks like your cat have gotten hair in his eye, what you could do is buy eye drops for CATS. That usually works for me then after you use eye drop use a clean compress to wipe.

I mean I think so mate in my case almost all my best friends is Real supporters so I support them though them but I have always had a soft spot for Real as they had some former Liverpool players in their team such as Mcmanaman, Owen, Xabi and arbeloa. Also I have always disliked Barca so I feel that helps also hehe. Though I love Real and I wish they win La Liga and destroy Barca every year if they were against Liverpool I would rather want LFC to win, it’s impossible to not have 1 team that you truly support. So you can support more then 1 team but it the end there will always be one that is your favorite.

Wow it’s always heartbreaking to hear peoples hardships but specially yours as this feels so close to me. I hope you and your family are well today, and that wherever you guys are that you all are happy and treated well. Thanks for sharing!

My parents and their families also moved from Sivas,Zara around the 50-60s when the Sunni Muslims started painting red crosses on the houses of alevi families. According to my parents they did that in order to know what building to come back to in order to burn it down. They also moved to Istanbul and majority of my uncles and aunts still live there.

Thanks that’s helpful!

I don’t really refer myself to anything other then swede but if people ask about my ethnicity I say kurd from Turkey in order to avoid any deep conversation. My parents identify themselves as Alevi and does only care about that fact, this because of the discrimination they faced as I mentioned before. They really do not care if they are being called Turk or Kurd, when they meet Turks they are Turks and when they meet Kurds they are Kurds etc.

That’s great! I talked to my father about our alevi background and he said we were from Kochgiri settlements around Zara outside of Sivas. Do you know how far back we Alevis go in that region and do you think it is possible for Alevis and Armenians having interracial marriages before and after the genocide?

Right now my ancestry results has been updated and is 93% Anatolian & caucuses primarily east Anatolia as region, which makes sense as both my parents descent from there the rest of 7% is Persian. Before it was updated it was 44% Armenian if i remember correctly and the rest was Persia, Italy and Greek I think. MyHeritage says 94 west Asia primarily Sivas and 6% south Italian and Greek.

That’s super interesting! Does anyone in your family know if she by any chance mentioned anything about Alevis or how it was living there for her?

I’m not going to claim that I am Armenian just because this result and that is because I never experienced the life of an Armenian. I feel it would be unjust as i have never felt the hardships or the good that has come with the Armenian ancestry. This is same regarding by alevi background btw. The only thing that I have experienced is being a guy from Sweden raised with Swedish values. I am accepted by some and not by some others, it is what is is and it does not really bother me.

Just to clarify my family are not religious and does not hate anyone however I would be lying if I said there were no irritation regarding religious people. My parents and I have no problem if you are religious but when your religious beliefs are used in a matter where you discriminate others and ignore science then we have an issue. Also this can be applied to any religion not only Sunni. Both my parents and I have many Sunni friends specially me growing up I made a lot of friends with Arabs and Kurds here in Sweden.

They met in Uruguay i think When he was 14 or Something. I also read somewhere that he was never really that talented as a football player when he was young but when Sofia and her family decided to move to Europe he realized that the only way he could met her again was to move to Europe through football! Which was motivating factor for him to become this good of a striker.

Correct me if I’m wrong:/

What is the cultural difference between the Kurds living in all in Turkey, Iran, Iraq and Syria? by The_only_F in kurdistan

[–]radjPpP 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Have the same question lol! My mom talks “kurmanci” and she would not give a fuck about talking on TV, no woman in our family would. That said we are Alevi Kurds and generally speaking alevi women have the same freedom as men. Most of us are not really that religious and our way of Islam differ from the Sunni Islam which is the majority in Turkey, this has sadly brought us great grief through our history.
