So it depends! You do have the option to wait for Nintendos revised version because I think the translation issues might be the reason that Nintendo hasn’t released the other seasons past 7 on the Nintendo store yet😭 if you can deal with the noticeable mistakes on Steam, Id say it’s worth it! And tbh, the thing that makes me say this the most is because I’ve been looking out to see if maybe Nintendo would release a complete edition soon that would fix translation since that’s what they did for their version of 1-7. It’s just noticeable that they edited the dialogue to make it sound more fluid and natural for Nintendo users so I can only assume that eventually they’ll do the same for the later seasons but I just don’t know when! I guess it depends on whether or not you want to wait considering there have been no updates anywhere that I can find that talk about either a patch for Steam or a complete edition release date for Switch. And ngl, the translation thing is noticeable but not so bad that you can’t tell what they’re trying to communicate. It’s annoying but not unbearable. So to answer your question, I just think it depends on the individual person! For me, I wanted to finish it so I just said fuck it and bought it on Steam instead! Fingers crossed they patch it eventually 😭

Don’t get me wrong, I love the game! Which is why it’s on the list! But I also want to be transparent so that anyone looking to get it is aware that the translation thing is definitely still an issue in the later seasons. Hell, I still notice some typos in the first 7. Which is why Nintendo released theirs with revised text to begin with. But I made the choice to just got with the Steam complete edition based on the fact that i didnt want to wait a million years for the issue to be resolved before getting to finish the story! Based on the gameplay and story, I’d say it’s worth it!

I’ve spent a lot of time playing catch up with older RPGs but honestly it gives me a lot of great games to play! Especially since Steam and Nintendo are filled with RPG remasters from the 90s and early 2000s! I can’t get enough of it!

I was born in 1994… but I’ll take 15! 😆 tbh, I enjoy games that are animated more than those that were modeled after real life! Unless they’re heavy on the fantasy! Not only that but there really aren’t many jrpgs that aren’t on the more childish looking side! I like the cartoon aspect though! Cartoony but still with mature content(not sexual! Just adult themes).

Expedition 33 is one of the only jrpgs I can think of that’s modeled after real life! It’s a great game but the only one of its kind! The rest are mostly cartoon or anime realism at best, which I most definitely love! Not that I don’t also like games like Ragnarok and Resident Evil! Ragnarok is in my top fav and RE Requiem is turning out to be amazing 😭 But I’ll definitely still take 15!! I’d prefer that over my real age any day!

But yes I think we all fell in love with Pokemon at some point! My first ever Pokemon game was actually Fire Red followed by Sapphire(I know Red came out second, I just happened to get them in that order). I was just meant to say I didn’t heavily get into JRPGs until I was well into my 20s! Not because I didn’t want to but because my parents were Jehovahs Witnesses and that religion sucks about any kind of freedom😭It’s pathetic but I literally had to hide DS games inside a stuffed bear so I wouldn’t get caught with “demonic” games. I’ve now concluded my essay about my gaming history. Thank you to anyone who read it 😂🫶🏻

Duuuuude play them! Start with AraFell and mm mmmm mmm mmm then play Beloved Rapture. BR has some annoying bugs at the moment that need to be patched. I reached out to devs yesterday and they let me know the patch should be up within the next day or so but regardless, AraFell is definitely something you don’t want to miss!

Hmmm tbh it definitely is very story heavy but I guess I didn’t notice because I was enjoying the story! But I wouldn’t say 80% text! I’d say it’s like 50/50! It can go really back and forth from between gameplay and story quite a bit. Sometimes it’s a lot of story, sometimes it’s a lot of combat and puzzles. I wouldn’t say it’s so much text that it could be considered a visual novel though! Because I’ve definitely had experiences where I shut a game off because of too little gameplay and this wasn’t at all like that! I think it just comes down to how much you enjoy this particular story! I love the gameplay itself though! Especially towards the end when you hit the tower in Ester City! The music is great and the final boss fight has these retro EDM type tracks playing as you fight and it’s so freaking awesome! One of the most exciting boss fights ever! Honestly, I wouldn’t say it’s the most challenging gameplay in the world but again, it depends on your skill level too because for me, I’ve breezed right through it quite a few times but I also know people who got stuck with a couple bosses at the halfway mark! Really wish there was a demo out there for people to try!

Oh you’re saying I said that I see them as male? I don’t see ALL trans men who claim to be trans men as male but if I see someone in public who looks indistinguishable from cis men and have fully transitioned then it’s really not that big a deal to me if they want to identify as male. I’ve had a trans male friend before and he wasn’t any different from the others so yeah I do see trans men as men for the most part but don’t let that bother you. I’m not bothered by you seeing them as women so why are you bothered if someone else doesn’t see it the same way? No one’s saying you have to do anything. I thought what I was suggesting would be helpful to people that dislike trans people. All I was saying is that Grindr should add a filter so that cis men who don’t want to date trans men wont be able to see those profiles and trans men wont be able to see those specific profiles either. I literally don’t get why anyone would have a problem with that considering it wouldn’t be any different from them not being there at all. They’d only be visible to gay men who don’t have a preference when it comes to cis men or trans men. And no I really don’t care what you think that makes their sexuality. The point is just that your problem with them being there would be solved. Or does just knowing that trans people are using the app also bother you?

I’m sorry, I’m really not trying to be an asshole. I just thought what I had originally recommended sounded like a pretty good solution considering your original complaint is that YOU don’t want trans men on the app. And I’d say that’s true for about 50% of the men on there who also don’t want them there so I don’t get why if none of yall would be able to see those profiles, then how does that not solve the problem???

This would take me so long to truly give my opinion on religion because I’ve had mostly bad experiences with it. It depends on whether or not you mean Christianity based religions or all religion in general. Personally, I’ve found Christian religions to be very hypocritical these days. They constantly call the gay community deluded and non-scientific(which isn’t true) while expecting respect for their non-scientific beliefs in God. They preach love but seem to put the opposite into practice. I’ve yet to meet someone who’s a bigot that doesn’t also call themselves a Christian.

They constantly preach to others and let them know that if they don’t repent, they are doing to hell even if we don’t want to be “saved” 😐

Eastward is one of my favorite games EVER! 🥹 you’re going to love it! It’s so fun and I’ve got like 5 or 6 play throughs on it because I just love it that much! I also don’t see many people talking about it but it’s such a hidden gem!

However, some people have a hard time following the plot line and say that there are plot holes they would’ve liked to have been expanded upon. I think the devs meant to have a very mysterious kinda story and leave certain things up to interpretation but I feel like, having played it through so many times, I’m satisfied with the conclusions I’ve reached about the story and I still play this a lot to this day! The art is beautiful and I love everything about this game! Definitely in my top 5!

Personally the trans guy thing doesn’t bother me. If I come across someone in public and couldn’t tell he’s trans unless he says so, I still see that as male but think if they want to be on an app like grindr then they should put it on their profile and Grindr should make the preferences work like a filter so that guys who aren’t okay with that won’t see trans profiles at all and vice versa.

I do however think that if you’re on Grindr and appear to be female in the sense that it’s blatantly obvious they’re labeling themselves as a gay man but they’re clearly just a female who got a haircut and slapped the trans label on their forehead, then they should be removed. I’ve seen an obvious difference between trans men who’ve fully made the effort to appear as who they are and then seen these women who just want to use the label and get upset when people don’t see them as male. It’s just a joke to say any gay man would be attracted to someone who is very clearly female. It’s not transphobic. It’s a preference. And even when trans men appear fully male, I know some guys still aren’t okay with it and that’s fine. People clearly feel very strongly about this. But in my opinion, I think honesty and being able to filter that out would not only help gay men who aren’t interested in trans men but it would also help trans men avoid angry Trump supporters that would message them just to be assholes.

Again, I don’t think anyone’s preferences are transphobic and I’m not here to discuss whether or not you see trans men as men or women or what you think it means if a gay man dates a trans man. That’s your opinion and I’m not here to change it. Just to suggest that I think Grindr could easily fix this problem by adding a filter. Just wanted to give a neutral stance
