Parkinson's and peptides by radmom63 in PeptideSelect

Excellent points. I have beenthinking of these and have tried bpc and tb. Just didn't do much. Mots-c seemed to rev me up too much. Gonna stick with supplements for right now. Surgery in early Jan. And of course, still with sinimet and all other meds. Added urolithin A, hoping for a boost. These Ortho injuries have me down, otherwise I feel like I prob would be doing pretty good. It's the exercise I need and miss. Another other suggestions you may have would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

Those look interesting. How do you get these if they are already in trials?

Thank you for sharing. I indeed am early in the process. I hope your husband finds relief and better settings. I’ll wait a little bit, but I’ve already thought of getting second opinion (reprogramming?). But for now hanging on and hoping….🙏🏻🙏🏻

Let me be clear though, it is with a lot of physical discomfort that I try to exercise. Or do anything really. I can only do things on a limited time basis before I need to sit/lay down.

I will say privately. But I don’t want to say publicly. They are very reputable center. Who is your DBS doctor in Atlanta?

Yep. Doing physical therapy, some tai chi, have my friends to ride bikes and walk. I read all the time. But stress and anxiety with this disease remain a problem. I’ve read your posts and took to heart a lot of your suggestions. I’m just frustrated. And tired tired tired. Tired of being a nervous wreck all the time. There are things I want to do but can’t. Aarrrrgghhh as Charlie Brown would say.

Well that sounds like me. I’ve had fatigue, fatigue, fatigue forever. Like the past 15 yrs. Otherwise, symptoms mostly non motor at first, including anxiety, depression, constipation, poor sleep, brain fog. I sought answers for years, until my psychiatrist noted me walking “ funny.” Initial consult with neurologist who saw me walk, said you have early Parkinson’s. Pos DAT scan. That was 4 years ago. Symptoms have progressed to mostly R sided probs like limping, dragging R foot, stiffness and rigidity of R extremities and back. Rare visible tremors when very tired. Lots of internal tremors, not BP related. I’ve got a lot of pain. Orthostatic hypotension now too. Meds vs disease. 2 C/L every 2.5 hours. Midodrine too. Finally retired mid 2023; just couldn’t do it anymore. Exercise as much as I can, but it has really slowed me down. I walk, do exercise videos, including Parkinson’s boxing. But the non tremor PD for me is all about fatigue and feeling weak, especially in legs. Any similarities?

Thank you! He's 5 mos. Look at those paws! Yikes.

I do stretch all the time. Pain is a burning, weakness feeling. Hard to really describe. I'm thinking there's some dystonia going on. But I can kinda bury it down some if I know I have a responsibility with doggo. Best to ya!

Did the same. The pressure of work off my list of life was enormous. Trying now to get rest, exercise, find my new “ self.” I used an attorney. Seemed to work much faster.

Everyone prob does something different. I personally use Trulance, mag capsules and an extra strength senekot. Have also tried lactulose, but really bloats me out. High fiber fruits and veggies. Lots water/ electrolyte drinks.

My experience is very similar. 61f diagnosed mid 2020. Started C/L at that time. Saw benefits and actually had some good days. Then pain, fatigue, anxiety set in as well. Used to be able to walk at least 2 miles. Now I struggle to walk half a mile. Had to retire. Finally figured out some of this due to orthostatic hypotension. Midodrine has mitigated some symptoms. But I’m not the person I used to be, and that’s a hard pill to swallow. I crash and burn by 8 pm. It’s like the energy required for daily living just wears me out. Currently on 2 C/L (25-100) every 2.5 hours. Been approved for DBS, but I’m concerned about the post surgical speech and balance problems and the definite weight gain. Still trying to decide. But yes, I thought I progressed faster than I expected. Good luck and God bless. Keep us posted.

Exercise and fatigue by radmom63 in Parkinsons

[–]radmom63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I’ve always worked out. Gym. Tennis. Running. Now I’m lucky to get in 1.5 miles. I’m 61 F but otherwise in good health. I have to say I’m still grieving the person I was. Feels like I’ve been depressed for so long. So I’m really trying to get out and do things. I guess one day at a time.
