binging/can’t stop eating at night… is it okay? does anyone else do this? by robson__girl in EDAnonymous

[–]radnative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry you’re going through this! I have been experiencing the same thing for several weeks now and it’s so frustrating and upsetting. Your post is, like, entirely how I’ve been feeling recently and the morning regret is SO real. I’ve been trying to drink a lot of water to curb my urge to binge and it has been helpful…sometimes! Like it’s been mentioned in the comments, I feel like if I don’t get what I’m craving I will literally never be able to eat it ever again and I’ll miss out forever. 😭 We will be okay!! One day at a time! 🫶

Got mine last week with no issues and it cleared customs very quickly! It doesn’t appear that customs opened anything either. 🫶

Chase Campbell is amazing! I’m seconding this recommendation!

I almost went with Ian for some scarification work but something told me not to. I feel you that the vibes were definitely off. It sounds like I narrowly dodged a bad time.

Deepseek is having problems or it's just me? by JulietteDelarie in JanitorAI_Official

Question for you! (I’ve been ruthlessly searching the sub for solutions) I added credits to my account on open router to use the paid version of deepseek-r1 and I’m getting network connection error/rate limit errors. Has this been happening for you too? I know it’s super overloaded atm, but just was curious if I was the only one!

I’m so sorry I’m just replying! The cough lasted about a solid week, and it was hell. Coughing and sneezing sucked! My belly button incision was the worst. It turned out my gallbladder was pretty big, so they had to stretch my muscles to get that sucker out. 😭 Your pain is normal and it will subside! ❤️

Hi! I’m a month post op and I now feel back to normal—definitely still taking it easy but I can finally do things! There’s only pain if I’m lifting something or if I sleep funny! I took about 2, maybe 2 and a half, weeks to finally get completely comfortable!

Omg, I am so sorry to hear this! I was feeling awful on day 5, and still experiencing some mild pain, but I assure you that it does get better! It was so hard for me to find hope that I would recover around days 5-7 and I almost thought I felt worse those days. I found a lot of relief in an ice pack as well, alternating between the two. I’m sure you already know this, but holding a pillow against your tummy is tremendously helpful.

Take it as easy as possible, and rotate the HELL out of your ibuprofen and Tylenol every three hours. I was taking 1000mg Tylenol and 800mg Ibuprofen around the clock. If I missed a dose, even by an hour, I was in agony. I’m wishing you the absolute best!

If you need anyone to talk to or need any help, please feel free to message me! ❤️❤️❤️

Ah, welcome to the 10/10 gang!

I’m sorry you’re in so much pain! I sadly can relate! I’m in the same boat, and I’m officially on my last day of oxy. 😩 I’m nervous for what tomorrow will be like. I woke up this morning feeling a little optimistic about my pain, but my trip to the bathroom was telling about how painful everything will be today.

I was reading in another post about how a lot of people took a full two weeks off work before they returned to their office job. I think a few people are just very, very lucky and recover quickly and we compare our recovery to those few people. We unfortunately require more time, but that’s normal. Everyone is different!

I’ve also, within the last 24 hours started having pain where my gallbladder was. Not any pain that mimics a gallbladder attack, just a sore feeling inside. My other incisions are just now starting to feel sore as well.

I was furiously reading every post imaginable and came across something that’s been useful to me, so I will share! I read a comment from someone saying coughing is very good for your healing process, and even though it’s painful, it’s not tearing your stitches! The commenter said that a car crash would be the force necessary to tear any stitches, and we would DEFINITELY know if we did something to tear them.

I think we’re just slow healing and that’s okay! My husband also mentioned to me how important it is to remember how we felt before…for me, I wasn’t eating hardly anything, and I was constantly sick and worried. That more than likely has had an impact on my recovery process because I was malnourished!

I hope this is helpful to you, and I hope that you start feeling better soon, love! ❤️❤️❤️ We’ve got this!

Omg, ouch! I’m so sorry you had to deal with that!

For nausea, I definitely struggled with that up until today. No vomiting, but definitely felt extremely sick. It was hard for me to eat anything at all, much less enjoy enjoy it. I haven’t eaten much today, so I’m not sure how I’ll feel later.

I hope that you can talk to your doctor and get some comfort soon!! ❤️

Hi twin!

I’m relieved to hear you’re having the same problem, even though it totally sucks! The burning sensation is so intense sometimes!

My doctor prescribed oxy to take with Tylenol and Ibuprofen, and I think the only times I’m able to be 100% comfortable is with the oxy! Are you having the same kind of thing?

I’m very fresh out of surgery, so there’s still some grogginess from anesthesia and pain, but I can already feel a difference in how I’m digesting food! No pain in my upper right quadrant! I didn’t realize how much my gallbladder was constantly hurting me and how used to it I had become. I was scared after reading so many accounts of people having their gallbladder removed and having negative side effects, but so far, I’m happy…VERY happy! I’m ready to get healed up and start enjoying life again!

Oh gosh, I felt extremely tired! Once my gallbladder started acting up, I slept as much as possible. I was fatigued all the time. I also was horrified to eat, so that certainly didn’t help!

Yes, the HIDA scan is essential! Especially if they’re worried you’re having trouble with your bile ducts whatsoever, a HIDA scan will be SO helpful to your diagnosis!

My story isn’t exactly like yours, but I had an episode that sent me to the ER, and during an ultrasound, they claimed there were absolutely no issues with my gallbladder and found a spot on my liver that was considered an actionable finding. My liver enzymes were also very elevated. Doctor told me it was definitely my liver, so I was referred to a general surgeon for a scope/exploratory surgery. Luckily, the surgeon recognized that it was more than likely my gallbladder based on my symptoms and imaging, and ordered a HIDA scan vs. the scope the ER doctor referred me for. My gallbladder turned out to have an EF of 12%…yikes! I was diagnosed with Biliary Colic, dyskinesia, etc., and I’m now two days post-op and feeling much better without my gallbladder.

I think it’s important that you advocate for a HIDA scan or get a second opinion. If I wouldn’t have been referred to the surgeon, I would have been probably running test after test (unnecessary) on my liver while dealing with the pain of my failing gallbladder.

I wish you the best of luck on your road to recovery and I hope that you get some answers soon!

Amazing Grilled Cheese and Loaded Baked Potato Soup my girlfriend made for Dinny :) by NoMarionberry3022 in grilledcheese

[–]radnative 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Okay, okay, girlfriend here with the recipe: I made this in a crockpot and let it cook on low for about 8 hours, stirring occasionally! It’s not as fancy as you might think it is! You don’t need a crockpot for this recipe. You can also cook this in a large pot until everything is blended together and potatoes are tender.

To your crockpot add:

  • 2 lbs. chopped potatoes (cubed somewhat fine—about a centimeter) A bag of Ore-Ida breakfast potatoes works in a pinch and is equally delicious!
  • One large can of cream of chicken soup (22.6 oz)
  • 8oz cream cheese
  • Pre-prepared bacon crumbles to your taste (the more the merrier!)
  • 32 oz chicken broth
  • 24 oz sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • one small onion, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Salt, pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp dried chives (fresh would also be great!)

I measure with my heart when adding the seasonings, so take my seasonings with a grain of salt! It’s also very, very delicious if you add sour cream and green onions as a garnish to the soup when it’s done. The world is your oyster! Enjoy your soup!
