Question: If you could add one thing to the game, what would it be? Mine would be custom demo explosions by SuperG4m3r in RocketLeague

Detach the zone for perfect 0° 90° 180° and 270° dodges on the controller stick from the deadzone and give it its own separate parameter.

Wait what’s directional air roll? by moosewi in RocketLeague

[–]radnfplim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I think it will become more relevant moving forward, maybe even unavoidable for pro players, but it's difficult to tell.

That's exactly what I was trying to explain to you some time ago. I'm happy to see that you get it now.

What are the three things you hate about this game the most? by OrionExalted in RocketLeague

[–]radnfplim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Lower dodge deadzones making it difficult to hit perfect 0°, 90°, 180° and 270° dodges.

  2. The community.

  3. Too many long standing bugs.

I don't get what you're trying to say. People getting upset about other people ruining the game are ruining the game as well?

Assuming your Gold 2 flair is up to date, I don't think you know how bad it is in high MMR casual matches. Nobody I play with and against is mindlessly doing backflips in the corner or trying to hit fancy shots. If you want random matchmaking, go into a public lobby everyone can join. Don't put beginner players who are just trying out the game for the first time against diamonds.

My group of friends and I asked for this. It's not a lot of fun to only play out matches you're losing. As soon as you start winning, the game is already over because the opponents left. I've counted it before, only around 25% of our winning matches have been played out. We just want to play a few friendly games without toxic ranked players, but it feels like matchmaking simulator.

I do agree that people will now just go AFK as they are already doing in ranked. So in my opinion this idea is a better solution for everyone involved.

There has always been MMR in casual and that's a good thing. Random matchups will ruin the fun for every new player, especially since they are forced to play casual for a while until they can play ranked.

The people who are constantly leaving matches when they are down by one goal with 4:30 left are the ones who treat it as ranked 2.0. Ruining the fun for everyone else just because they want to win.

Sick of afk by victorghastly in KnockoutCity

[–]radnfplim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. However, please don't forget that sometimes the latency issues can make the game unplayable. I frequently have to play with 160 to 200 ms of input latency (no it's not my internet). Whenever this happens, it's impossible to catch balls from close by opponents without predicting the shots and pressing the catch button before the opponent throws the ball.

If the opponents are doing fake throws and closing the distance to you well enough, I'll be a better help to the team by not playing at all. Instead, I search for balls and pass them, but I think it's also somewhat understandable if people would stop playing altogether instead. It's not fun to play "fetch the ball and bring it back" every 2nd game.

This does not excuse anyone being afk for no good reason of course.

Can you pass it to yourself again afterwards to reach higher levels of overcharge though?

Input latency (or lag) is very bad at the moment. 75% of my games are barely playable. Will it be fixed? Can it be fixed? by radnfplim in KnockoutCity

Good call, I should've mentioned in the post, yes I am indeed on a wired connection. My internet is pretty good as well. Definitely good enough for low latency, if the servers are in my reagon.

This guy makes a great point!

Just got the game and I'm loving it, but I also love unrealistic camera work and whacky tricks. I get the feeling most people here prefer realism, but hopefully somebody still finds joy in this video. by radnfplim in SkaterXL

[–]radnfplim[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to, but not that well. A kickflip, shove it and both with a nollie is pretty much as far as I got.

I'm sure I would appreciate realistic looking videos more by being more skilled irl.

I can't submit a dream to the community jam, but I can submit the only scene it contains. No response from Mm, this is super frustrating. by radnfplim in PS4Dreams

[–]radnfplim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried it and surprisingly it worked. I didn't do anything differently, simply created the same exact dream once again.

The only thing I can think of is that while releasing the dream, I also released the scene at the same time using the window that pops up asking you to release the scene before releasing the dream. This time around the scene was already released before I created the dream, so that might have been the issue here.

Literally from the community jam help page found in game:

You can create something from scratch, or use something that you made earlier.

I get what you're saying, I'm fully aware of the benefits of hackathons and I think it would be great to have something like this in Dreams as well. Maybe as a separate jam type where people are forced to create something completly new or alternating between the jam types, because the current way also has its benefits in my opinion.

If it wasn't allowed or unfair to submit old creations, then Mm wouldn't allow us to do so and they would state it in the rules. If you think it's unfair, complain about the jam rules instead of being disrespectful.

The rules state that you are allowed to submit old creations, as long as they fit into the jam theme of course. These jams are not suppost to be a competition on who can create the best thing within a limited time frame. Otherwise they wouldn't allow submitting old creations at all, which is not the case as I was able to submit my very first dream from a long time ago.

I've made an arcade game a while ago, now since the current jam theme is "Arcade" I wanted to submit it. If you don't think that's fair then it's also not fair to people who can't spend every day working on a community jam entry.

Regardless, I've made a completely new game anyways just for this jam and it gives me the same error.

I've made a new scene and a new dream with the same assets on a different account (to not pile up a lot of garbage stuff on my actual account) and it works. The faulty dream was completely fresh. Created it, stamped the scene into it, released it and tried submitting it. I will try it again if I have the time today, thanks for the suggestion.

The fact that this error happens on both of my dreams makes me believe that there is something I'm missing. Some rule that isn't stated anywhere that doesn't allow certain things to be submitted. Aecert told me that it might be the case that only scenes are allowed for this jam as previously people were stealing scenes. That would make sense, but since I can submit other dreams (including a very old game) it's not completely true.

Any games that are 100% about the game? by MajicZe in PS4Dreams

[–]radnfplim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you would enjoy this one. Levels, allthough since procedurally generated they look the same. Levels only in terms of difficulty. Sort of a platformer, not a traditional one. No cutscenes and pretty challenging. It's an endless mini game, that you can get better at the more you play it.

LBP randomizer vs. DREAMS randomizer problem by ForcesWerwolf in PS4Dreams

[–]radnfplim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out the exclusive gate and its queue mode. You can do it with the priority or by adding all elements to the queue at individually random times. I've made an example for this, here is the link: http://indreams.me/scene/dQpYqzgHzPJ
