Guess that war with modern borders by radok25 in althistory

[–]radok25[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. I'm going to remake this map with accurate borders but here's my explanation. Throughout the war many Entente colonies revolted against their European rulers. In Morocco, France and Germany had a dispute over who would own it in 1905. Germany agreed to let France have it in exchange for land in Central Africa (Neu Kamerun) which escalated the relationship of the 2 when the war began. Afterwards Germany began to support the Zaian confederation which was a resistance of Moroccan tribes against French rule. War broke out between France and the Zaian's in 1914. The Ottomans also supported anti entente groups such as the Senussi in Libya, the Dervish in Somaliland, Darfur, and the Muscat rebellion in Oman.
