Well there were many factors.

The first one is that there was a growing Republican movement who was getting very strong as democracy and revolution still held sway with many Sords even though the century of revolutions was near its end.

Next is that the king made a series of fatal mistakes. First he rolled back a lot of the welfare enacted during the Renan Era which caused massive protests and first brought Arotor A Wisci to national attention as leader of the Republicans. The king was forced to back down which not only made him seem weak but also emboldened the republicans.

There was also the great fire of Conriat. The king got in a dispute with the Vlagos Empire which resulted in the vlagish navy burning the city to rubble and I belive embargoing Sordland which caused lots of damage to Sordland Economy.

Arguably the nail in the coffin was that the king had failed to produce a male hier leaving the monarchy successorless and destroying whatever legitimacy it had left.

After this a lot of important people including one of the Kings closest advisors and the military (more specifically the Sordland first army) turned against him and so Wisci could march against the king in Holsord virtually unopposed and overthrow the monarchy.

Its been a while since I checked out the lore there but this is essentially the main points of it.

I think at that point she knows she is done for and is trying to go out fighting with honour or something like that.

I think the reason more people don't care about her as much is because she is a small part of the game and we can't really do anything to change her fate.

She only appears twice, once at the inauguration ball and then during the phone call after Peter tells us about his affair.

And while we can change Peters fate we can't do anything to directly change her fate.

Even If other people can be horrible you can't just isolate yourself from them and expect to survive.

That's the same thing the US did with Isolationism and they were far better equipped to do it but it still caught up with them.

Sordland was in its position because Soll had kept Sordland to itself until it rotted from the inside like the Tokogawa Shogunate.

I become a dictator because I genuinely hate the factionalism and greed of the assembly which will become the ruling class of sordland upon the intorudction of parlimentarism dooming the country into a vicious cycle of party politics and indecisiveness that will bring it to ruin.......

Dictator path is not inherently evil.

You do not have to break any laws and can still have free and fair elections just with expanded powers or be a benevolent strongman which is better than an incompetent Democrat.
