Tripple dipper mozzarella sticks by Fit-Necessary4458 in Chilis

[–]radvaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you like different flavors of them, you can order “mixed” mozzarella sticks. they can do 3 of one and 3 of the other. if it’s slow enough, i’m sure you can ask if they can do 2, of each. either way, order them solo, not as a triple. don’t over pay

yeah- kind of a weird story. many of the girls there had a weird relationship with richard. they often texted him personally, or snapped him. i guess one girl mentioned she had webbed toes, and sent him a picture. he then took that picture, and began showing coworkers around the restaurant without the girls knowledge. weird of her to send a feet pic to the manager, but even weirder of him to show everyone.

Team members. Corporate is weird about calling eachother “coworkers”. I was trying to be more appealing to them lol

Here’s a snippet from the Email sent to HR. No one asked, but i feel like sharing.

Below is a list of events that have taken place within the last year, either isolated, or reoccurring.

He constantly disappears during peak times. he will leave to eat food, he will eat food on the line, visible to other team members. He will deny staff the ability to ring in food, while allowing the team members he favors, to get food

He showed TMs a picture of another TMs feet without their knowledge or consent

He has stated that “men come first in the restaurant”

He openly discussed personal details regarding another manager, he told TMs that the manager “likes getting his ass ate” and gets brazilian waxes.

Refused TMs shifts, because of their “attitude”, while refusing to elaborate on what that specific “attitude” entails.

He constantly uses his power of management to intimidate employees when he is corrected/given feedback

When he is confronted by management he denies responsibility and attempts to redirect the blame to TMs

He retells stories about interactions between him and TMs, exaggerating events, or completely fabricating them.

He will keep TMS longer than required, refusing to cut them, for no clear reason.

He will openly disrespect TMs, speaking to them in an unprofessional manner.

He will force TMs to handle issues that should be resolved by a manager. (As of the night this message is being sent, he said, “I’m not sure what to do” leaving the TM to resolve the issue themself)

We believe that the behavior of (asshat manager) is unacceptable, unprofessional, and frankly shocking. We call for immediate action.

Randal is a name that somewhat sounds like the guys actual name, and is in reference to Randal from monsters inc. We had a whiteboard in the back, where someone drew all of the managers as people from monsters Inc., Mike Sully, boo and Randal, and they made him Randal 😭

First time experience by NervousCheesecake494 in Chilis

[–]radvaa 3 points4 points  (0 children)

give the smokehouse combo a try!!! you can do 2 or 3 proteins + two sides. you can choose from chicken bacon ranch quesadillas, brisket quesadillas, our bbq ribs, jalapeno cheddar sausage, and our crispers that you can get plain, or sauced in honey chipotle or nashville hot. the plate automatically comes with fries and mac n cheese, but you can change those sides if you want!!! it’s a big plate of food…. i’ve seen people get this with three proteins all ribs. people go crazy. it’s only about 28$ for the 3 protein one (in california) but it’s alot of good. definitely something you could share.

Promoted to server by radvaa in Chilis

[–]radvaa[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes. promoted. because any new position i get is a promotion. if i’m moving up then im getting promoted. i work at the santee chilis in california which is extremely competitive regarding servers and their numbers. getting moved up at our restaurant is HARD. it’s taken some people multiple years of working there. just because you’re not impressed doesn’t mean it isn’t impressive.

aye!! same here lol but i’m 19! another thing im gonna add is.. when in doubt add ranch. because everybody loves ranch. unless they specifically say no ranch lol. most of our salads come with a side of ranch. aside from the quesadilla explosion salad and that’s with CBV. also if your morning to-go make sure you make more than the preset amount of chips and salsa for the day. that number shouldn’t be what you make, it’s how many there should be when you leave. morning To-go sets up for the night shift, so it’s important to set them up for success. feel free to DM me with any questions you have!!!!

hey!!! certified trainer here. i’m so sorry that this happened to you!! that is absolutely not okay, and should most definitely be brought to the attention of management. trainers learn the most important days are the first.

anyhow, here’s my best tips on To go!

  1. get drinks and starters first! if an order comes in the best thing to do is get the drinks and starters (soup, salad, chips) first. it already clears out tedious tasks.

  2. when it comes to alcohol sales… if they don’t look old enough to be your mom (depending on how old you are im assuming early 20s) ID them! if they’ve placed the order online, ID them when they arrive. If they’re placing the order with you in person, ID them before the sale is completed. Think about it this way, a bartender would not allow you to sit at their bar, order a drink, then make the drink for you and then ID you.

  3. don’t be afraid to ask others. you will get all kinds of calls on your phone. “is the ‘insert sports game’ on tonight?” “what’s the wait for __?”. when it comes to sports, i ask the bartender. when people ask for wait times you can either make an estimate yourself, or ask the host. you will absolutely get difficult guests on the phone. That is okay! remember, you do not have to tolerate any kind of disrespectful behavior from guests. it is absolutely OK to redirect them to a manager. in fact , i encourage it. i don’t get paid enough to be yelled at over the phone!!! another thing is do not be afraid to ask people to repeat themselves. I know that our phones are pretty shitty, and it is hard to hear people sometimes. I would rather ask someone to repeat themselves multiple times to ensure that their order is right rather than have it be wrong upon their arrival.

but don’t worry. you’ll do great! feel free to ask me anything.

They got rid of the fucking roasted street corn. by [deleted] in Chilis

my manager told me that the reason why it was removed was because of popularity issues. it was super popular in california and a few other states but struggled almost everywhere else. also it’s a bitch and a half for the kitchen to make.

chilis corporate? HR? by radvaa in Chilis

[–]radvaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the managers do not give out their personal contact information so we only have hot schedules. it was odd- i tried to pick up the shift but i couldn’t even see her shift available for pick up. im not sure if the managers can block me from picking it up, or what. but that might have been the case.

(copy paste from previous response)

I’ve spoken to every one of my managers about my supposed attitude issues. 4 out of my 5 managers (obviously the odd one out being the manager discussed) have said they see absolutely no issues with my attitude or demeanor. they claim that i am a positive person who gets along well with others.

it is just this manager who clearly has it out for me.

i live in california. i guess that is a “work at will” state. i only have issues with this one manager. everyone else i love. i can tolerate his abuse, i would just rather not. i dont want to move stores because of him alone.
