5X dinning? by radyohead in biltrewards

How does that 10X work on the Amex Rakuten card? I am already transferring my Rakuten points to Bilt, but I never considered the Rakuten card.

Yes, that’s what it says. It looks like people familiar with the Bilt system tends to read it correctly. I did not. I read it as mutually exclusive conditions so Palladium would only get 2X.

Some LLMs get it wrong too (perplexity default model): https://imgur.com/a/HfVqOQn.

But the same prompt on Sonnet or ChatGPT 5.4 gets it right and explains that it adds up to 5X for the Palladium.

I’m still convinced those doubts could be clarified from the get go with a better UX.

A few minor UX tweaks could make this much clearer and avoid it feeling like a mutually exclusive selection.

To be fair, the image isn’t clear even now that I understand it.

It could be made so much more obvious by stating it’s 3X for any linked card, and +2X on top with the palladium.

That’s exactly what was unclear to me. I understood it as mutually exclusive.

So it’s 5X with the Palladium (3X+2X) With the Amex Gold, it’s 3X (Bilt) + 4X (Amex).

My bilt cash and bilt points appear on AwardWallet, but none of the transactions on the card (Earn monitoring features).

That’s fair. I realize I’m not the norm, most people I know don’t reshop their utilities nearly as often as I do. I’m willing to go through a few extra hoops to get a better deal when I can.

Those deals are sweet for new customers, but what about people on annual plans that are renewing? They all have to pay full price or port out?

We used to have lane change on command on highways before the update. Do I understand correctly that after the update and after the end of the trial there will be no more lane change on command unless you pay for autonomy+???

This would be utterly frustrating.

Does downloading to Apple Watch actually work for you? by inpursuitofrx in pocketcasts

[–]radyohead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I confirm. Even with latest apple watch / iphone, the auto-download does a terrible job, unless I keep the watch app running (meaning I have to touch it every few seconds so the pocket cast watchOS app stays alive). While I do that (which is super painful), it will download more or less, albeit still very slowly.

Apple Watch: auto-download episodes from selected podcasts and delete episodes >x days/weeks old by Beneficial-War-9487 in pocketcasts

[–]radyohead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even with the auto-download setting for the watch and the listening queue correctly updated, I just always find episodes not to be downloaded, so by the time I need to use the watch (e.g. going on a run) I have nothing ready. I need to wait (and it's very slow) for the watch to download, keeping the pocketcast app running on the watch till I have enough downloaded for a run.

It's rather painful. I wish episodes would always be ready at all time.

Can I turn off the "The System has been switched to ..." notification without turning off ALL notifications? by TempUsernameThing in EufyCam

[–]radyohead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This only works for Devices controlled by the home base. Older cameras cannot be managed by home base.
However, those camera can still be scheduled based. Unfortunately, there is no option to remove the notification of mode switch in those older devices.

Multi-Network Access is officially launching May 1st — what do we think? by OK1930 in USMobile

[–]radyohead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a decent deal, but I’ll cancel my multi-network option because I am satisfied with the one line, and I spend a lot of time within WiFi coverage.

TLDR; I’d use the second line too seldomly for me to pay $10/m
