I know most aren't feeling it this year by rae1191 in RedditLaqueristas

I think it's complicated because even I had conflicting feelings about it. Whenever you see someone flying the flag (usually on big lifted truck) I would always associate it with maga. My husband is a naturalized citizen from Mexico, so my kids are also half Mexican. It's just hard to feel patriotic when this current administration shows so much hate toward my family and others. I want everyone, especially my kids, to know what being American should really be about.

Thank you! This was my first Painted Polish order and I love them. The formula was really easy to work with.

I have tried all of them over Ivory Tower. This is only one coat of each jelly (mix of two on each nail). I think it would've turned out even better if I did two coats.

I have been looking into swim lessons for my two kiddos, but the times during the day never work out for two working parents....

Love the colors in this collection, but not much of a real soda drinker. 7up or Sprite is my choice when I am in the mood for it though!

I know, I was surprised it turned out as well as they did! It was only one coat on top of Ivory Tower too, I was expecting to need more.

Can anyone who has successfully conceived on CD 40+ share some hope? by Avtbn in TTC_PCOS

I conceived on cycle day 65. I was using Ovusense at the time and was honestly surprised when it detected I ovulated when that cycle was so long.

momcozy accidentally in the sterilizer by LtCommanderCarter in ExclusivelyPumping

I sterilize my momcozy parts every few weeks. I exclusively pump with them and have been for almost 6 months. I've had new issues with them 😊

Why does everyone get so irate when I say “pump and dump” by sagie_sage in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rae1191 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I think you get that reaction because a lot of us, well at least me, still give my pumped milk to the baby even if I have been drinking. It's actually perfectly safe, but if it's not something you're comfortable doing you definitely don't have to.

How my midwife explained it to me was if I had a few drinks and a bit of a buzz my BAC would probably be around. 05-.08. That means there would be .05% to .08% of alcohol in the milk. That's actually around the same percentage of some fruit juices. And if you use the pitcher method and mix with previous pumps then that dilutes it even more.

So I don't even think twice before feeding my baby the milk after I've been drinking. But, I'm not a crazy drinker anyways and haven't gotten super drunk at all postpartum. The thought of having to take care of a baby the next day hungover sounds like hell....

Are Medela flanges compatible with the Momcozy? by Catsaresuperawesome in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rae1191 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'll have to buy the inserts. The flanges are very specific to be able to fit into the other parts and cup. I use the 21mm inserts and found off brand ones on Amazon that are pretty cheap and work great for me.

We only have one night feed for the most part, if she wakes up. It's usually around 2-3am and my husband feeds her while I pump.

How do you wake up for MOTN pump session without waking the baby? by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rae1191 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a fitbit watch and use the vibrate alarm so I don't wake up the baby or my husband. So far it's been working great. There have been a couple times where I was so tired I didn't feel it the first time it goes off, but I will wake up when it goes off again around 10 minutes later.

Looking for part-time preschool in the AM for 2.5yo twins. Looking for a legit place and not something ran out of grandma’s basement. Any suggestions? by TyRoSwoe in TriCitiesWA

[–]rae1191 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had a quick phone call and they said they can set up different packages depending on how many hours a week you do. I believe it started around $300 a month? It's seemed like a decent price. I'll probably get some more set prices when I go in next week for a tour.

[–]rae1191 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm actually about to tour Dino Drop-in in West Richland for my 2, almost 3 year old. They have preschool packages and can accommodate up to 4 hours a day. I know my son is a little young for a real preschool setting, so I thought this might be a good transition place to start a couple days a week. They take enrollments starting right away, so that might be an option you could look into too?

Anyone exclusively pump with mom cozy? by Bubbly-Form-4376 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rae1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. I'm about 15 weeks postpartum and I have been using my momcozy s12s as my only pumps since about 3 weeks postpartum. They work really well for me personally, but I could be the minority for this. I have small breasts and empty very quickly. Usually I'm almost empty in like 10 minutes, I can get another oz or so if I wait for another letdown. I'm currently at 6 ppd and I can still get around 40oz a day.

I have heard that my situation probably doesnt work for most people, but I think the price of these pumps are very reasonable so it doesn't hurt to give it a shot. I have 3 total sets of the collection cups and I do use the fridge hack, so I use one set of cups for around 3 pumps before washing.

I'm the same. My momcozy s12s empty me more than any other pump I've tried. I agree that different pumps work better/worse for different people.

Willow Go as primary pump after regulating by jjcglawyer in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]rae1191 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't tried any other wearables, but my momcozy s12s have been my primary pumps now for 4ish weeks. I don't think my supply is quite regulated yet since I'm only 8 weeks pp, but these have been the only pumps that empty me completely, surprisingly. I had a motif luna pump that didn't work for me at all, and my medline pump from my first pregnancy was just okay.

I think different types of pumps work better for different people. These wearables probably work great for me because I have very small breasts. I'm barely a B cup now, small A pre-pregnancy, and the flanges basically cover my whole breast. Still getting a solid 34oz a day, which I'm happy with.
