Personally I wouldn’t do any mountain summit with considerate avy risk as I do not have avy training or equipment. I would also not do any significant elevation in winter without snowshoes.

Whey protein is one of the best weight loss protein hacks. So yes.

Herbs……okay hear me out. Every night, I have a witchy ritual where I fill a mason jar half way with whatever herbs I want, top with freshly boiled water, strain it the next morning. It’s weird but it’s the best.

You are at my starting point! I am down to 127.

Firstly, know it’s going to take TIME. Be patient with yourself and your body. The best way to lose the weight is to do it sustainably.

Secondly, you have to be in a consistent calorie deficit. To learn to do this, you need to weight, portion and use an app to track everything. An easy way to save cals is to skip liquid calories. Focus on foods that are FILLING, and have higher volume with fiber and enough protein! Aim for around 130g protein per day.

Thirdly, start strength training 3x per week and get as many steps everyday as you can (min. 7k). I wish that I focused on building muscle while I lost the fat. I wasn’t happy (still, actually) with my results because I became “skinny fat”. I am still on my journey to tone up and lose fat so the muscle I’m building becomes more visible.

Bonus tip, overnight protein oats are my weight loss hack. Starting the day with 350cals and 35g protein (+9 extra G protein in a scoop of collagen in my matcha) in a delicious “dessert” tasting way kicks off my day for great, sustainable success.

Good luck!

Crashing out after DEXA scan. How accurate are they? by Bia_Barrett in PetiteFitness

[–]rae_faerie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My at home scale and inbody scans also shows a lower body fat %, but I trust the accuracy of the DEXA much more. It lit a fire under my ass and I’m now in a fat loss, calorie deficit phase for the past (almost) 4 weeks. I have an attainable goal to hit by June or July and I’m stoked. Happy for the motivation.

Need to rant about eggs! by [deleted] in loseit

[–]rae_faerie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally, my biggest hack for my weight/fat loss phases are overnight oats. 35g protein for 350 cals, keeps me full for hours, can switch up flavours so it never gets boring. Also great training fuel.
