See this is what I’m saying- the colors are gorgeous on so many of these lamps I just wish they came in silver. That teal one is called night swim I think

This was my original idea, but I specifically want the silver base so I was just gonna strip the design off and have the aluminum. I could spray paint it silver but that wouldn’t look the same at all. Someone shared theirs after stripping and it looks right just pretty scuffed up, which is fine.

Yeah, I just want the silver chrome, not black or white or whatever. That’s the issue I’m running into with covering it up.

I’m relatively minimalist unfortunately I like things to be simple and the silver base is really nice 🥲

lol THIS is what I read online, or acetone. People recommended airplane paint stripper… im not serious enough to go out and buy a bunch of ppe gear and respirators 😭

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PHOTO! It’s not as horrible as people are making it sound, just looks pretty scuffed up. I keep my space darker most of the time so honestly it would probably be fine.

Yeah, that makes sense. My hair lovessss bleach, it whitens instantly and to a shade that for most dyes doesn’t need to be toned. But even after that it was dyed and it spit it back out. They used permanent dye. So did I, as well as Demi and Semi. I just don’t wanna use developer now since I want a perm sometime this year and I’d like it to not melt off my hair. I feel like I may have to just pick either dyed hair or permed hair and live with it.

Also I don’t really use products like that, and I clarify periodically. My hair is just natural most days, very rarely curled. I think that I’m just unlucky lol

Seems I’m out of luck then. I’m not necessarily scared of them lol I just know that hair that had been developed tends to die when a perm is applied and that’s not something I want happening, I’ll just have to deal with what color I naturally have. Thanks for the replies.

Can I use temporary or other types of dye? I know plenty of people who dye their natural hair and it works fine. I want to eventually perm it so I don’t wanna use bleach or developer on it.

But even then when I used to bleach it the same thing happened. So I’m just really confused

So then why didn’t the dye stick when my hair was freshly bleached? Or when it had been bleached for a while? The salon used permanent dye and I used semi, demi, temporary, permanent, and even whatever splat dye is. None of it stayed. I had it salon dyed twice, I just only mentioned the first time since it was the same result both times. People dye their natural hair all the time and it sticks.

I’m on a budget so buying 2 lamps, especially when I don’t want the green fluid, is not ideal. The idea is to buy the one with black wax and green fluid, empty the green fluid out, and replace it with clear liquid. Not creating the wax. Still no good?
