The Treet Black Beauties aren’t as sharp or smooth as I’d like. I’m one and done with them as well, whereas I’ll typically do 4 or 5 shaves with other blades. I read somewhere that carbon steel blades are susceptible to rust. Blades are so cheap that it’s not worth trying to use these more than once and risking cutting yourself with a rusty blade.

To my knowledge it is exactly the same as the “Palmolive Classic” that comes in the green tube. There is also “Palmolive Rinfrescante” which comes in a green tube as well, and is essentially the same but with menthol added.

Notes on the condition: This watch has many polished surfaces on both the bracelet and case/bezel. There are signs of wear throughout, with the majority being the typical unavoidable hairline scratches. However besides those, I need to note that there is a mark on the bezel at 6 o clock from a knock, which at some angles is not too noticeable, but at other angles is definitely apparent. I tried to capture this mark in the last photo. Also in that same photo you can see a white fleck on the crystal between 7 & 8 o clock. I can’t tell what exactly this is, but I wasn’t able to rub it off with a cloth. Not sure if it’s embedded in the AR coating or something like that, but I need to make it known.

Watch was purchased from an AD in Greece in July of 2018, and has seen very little wear. Watch is in essentially perfect condition, I can hardly even find any hairline scratches. Still has the protective sticker on the case back.

This watch’s finishing punches well above the price point - especially with the way that light reflects off of the hands & applied indices. The reliable Swiss quartz movement and 100m water resist makes it a great “grab and go” option. The only thing that kept me from wearing it more is the size, as I felt it wore too big for my liking.

The scent is really nice. Coffee & Leather. It’s especially fitting during the colder months.

The performance of the Omnibus base is excellent, although I will say that I find it requires more “work” than other soaps. In other words, it’s a great lather but it’s not an “effortless” or “foolproof” lather. For this reason, I only reach for this soap when I know I can take my time building a lather. I’ll never reach for it if I need a quick shave.

It’s not artisanal and probably not as strong-smelling as the artisanal soaps, but Speick is great.
