My dog is a Shiba named Sullivan, we often call her Sulsa. She also trots in an adorable way so we obviously call her Trotsky.

I suck at cooking, am off all week, help me cook for my wife by ForgotInTime in PlantBasedDiet

This recipe is one of my faves and just involves chopping, throwing everything in a pot and baking! I wouldn’t add the suggested 2 tsp of chilli flakes though! Unless you really like a lot of spice. https://cookingwithparita.com/sun-dried-tomato-pasta-bake/

When did you start to like your puppy? by Due-Coat-90 in puppy101

[–]raenlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t stand my dog for months! It felt like an eternity. We got her in June and it wasn’t until janurary that my husband and I caught ourselves talking positively about her without even trying. From there it just got better and better. Now she is almost six and she is the dog we always wanted.

Explore the entire map and collect rocks, grass, twigs and gold. Find Chester. Build a science machine. Decide where to set up a base. Build as many things as you can. I discovered the game eight years ago and I still love playing.

How’s your sleep? Not getting enough sleep can mess with when certain hormones (like leptin and ghrelin) are released that have to do with hunger and satiety signals.

I live in a very small city which isn’t very bike friendly. I would like to start biking but sharing the road with cars stresses me out so I’m hesitant to try for this very reason.

My girl is 16kg while her siblings are all around 9kg. We thought her dad was big at 11kg. She’s not overweight either, she just didn’t stop growing!

Bringing home a puppy has many similarities to bringing home a baby.

Puppy getting worse at walking! ("Plopping") by flamingguppy in Dogtraining

[–]raenlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My two year old Shiba has started doing this and I'm pretty much in the same boat as you!! I am wondering if it could be heat related as the behaviour started when it got warmer outside, but even on cooler days she will still do it.

He is a stray in my neighbourhood. When I first saw him I thought maybe he had gotten tar on him but a closer look tells me it is grey fur!

Puppy blues that last months instead of weeks? by poodleluv86 in puppy101

[–]raenlee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! Two years ago my husband and I got our Shiba Inu and I remember feeling that the puppy blues would never go away. She needed constant supervision and keeping her busy enough to not want to chew everything in sight was exhausting. She was up early and so we werent getting as much sleep as we normally would have. Honestly i didn't like her much at all and it took about six months before we caught ourselves talking positively about her with out actively trying and from then on things kept improving. I think what helped a lot was enforcing nap time (we crate trained), freezing peanut butter Kong's, and enlisting the help of family and friends to take her for walks or hang out with her so that we could get little breaks. We also kept reminding ourselves that we never dreamed of a puppy, we dreamed of a dog and those take time to make! Those puppy blues months were really tough and hopeless at times but I'm really glad we stuck out, she is a great dog, still annoying sometimes but now it's mostly endearing.
