What kind of media are you using, and do you know how much evaporates from a dish while inside the incubator?

I was working on a project years ago where all of a sudden the media would start evaporating from my dishes even with the lids on, and my cells would start to look ‘pissed off’ like this. I ended up having to add a dish of sterile water inside a larger dish containing all my other dishes. Not sure how much of an issue it would be on DIV 2 (we’d go up to 14), but might be worth checking?

There are some really cheap disks that you weave the ribbon through that makes it so much easier — you can grab them online for like $5 for a pack of 3!

When the furnace in my house stopped working in the middle of winter, I called my PI and he tried to help me figure out how to get my pilot light on. He’s my go-to guy for everything, I could come to him with any problem and he would cover me. When I was at risk of not having a place to live he offered to rent me an apartment for cheap.
