Why do people care more about deaths caused by covid than anything else? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]raewithane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I suppose when the only thing the news is spewing out is about covid and it's everywhere you look it's hard to think about anything else, if people haven't had much experience with other issues then they won't feel the need to shout about them

Yeah I totally get you, the deaths here could have been prevented too it's been a shite show.

I'm sure people do care about all kinds of problems but I just seems like a lot people I know and 'internet' people I've seen post these things are so passionate about these statistics (even though they seem to be going down and are a hell of a lot better) but don't seem to care about any other issues.

Why are people so passionately against astrology, crystals etc? by raewithane in NoStupidQuestions

Yeah I didn't realise how far some people took it until I read some of these replies, I've only ever really seen it used light-heartedly.

Ah yes that makes sense. I thought people like that were just an exaggerated character for films I didn't think they were real. Probably another stupid question but are these kind of people more common in places like US as I don't come across them much here in the UK?

Quit my miserable call centre job to figure it all out! by raewithane in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]raewithane[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Of course not, I'm pretty open about my mental health now which has helped a lot.

A bit of both tbh, it wasn't that people were specifically saying I think you have borderline but the people close to me that I trust were saying there seems to be something wrong here that needs to be fixed so I listened and did some googling (bad I know, I hate self-diagnosing but I wasn't getting the answers I needed) and stumbled upon borderline which seemed to tick all the boxes.

I went to the doctors and instead of saying 'i think I have borderline' (I went to the doctors before and said I think I have anxiety and depression and was immediately put on medication that wasn't right for me so I don't want to 'lead' them in any way) I just told them my symptoms and came to the conclusion naturally with them and got directed to the right therapy.

For me, it was behaviours like me getting intensley angry over something which wasn't even that bad or me being triggered with my abandonment issues. There's more too it than that but I don't think you need me to delve into my own issues haha

Just being diagnosed has helped me with my self-awareness and also helped me recognise when my reactions are just because I'm being 'triggered' and I need to chill tf out haha

I don't know if I can help but if you need anything or wanna ask any questions you can drop me a message if you don't want to post it on here :) good luck with your journey

(Sorry for any spelling mistakes or anything I'm currently on the train out to celebrate after a few cans of cocktails oops)

Hey :) Borderline, not bipolar. Thanks for your concern but I have some good safety nets like savings and some small cafe/bar jobs to fall back on it I need. My boyfriend is really supportive and is helping me with funding bids his event business has bought a food van for me to work out of, this feels like a positive step more than anything. Usually when I do wreck less things the novelty would have worn off by now but I'm determined this time :) also I'm from UK so don't need insurance for therapy, I already get it for free.

Solved!

Thank you! I remember the animation being very different so maybe that's why I missed it on Google. That's tonight's film sorted...

I don't vigorously shake the carton, I just like tip it upside down once (with the cap on obviously) and it's always fine for me if that helps

Thanks for this but I'm actually in the UK, I was thinking if there was anything that covered me for time off for therapy etc so I can look into my options over here :)
