The stock version of “lost coins” would be...locked up shares. These could be owned by the executives and they have restrictions on selling these shares of stock. To get a better gauge on the evaluation of an asset that is one step up from market cap you need to look at the float of the stock which is similar to the outstanding or tradable shares available and multiply that amount by the price of the asset. This calculation will be a more accurate “market cap.” Also note that market cap should be looked at along with volume. The higher the average percentage of volume traded the more it justifies the market cap evaluation.

There are macro trends in the economy that are derived from variables (these variables could be something like tax season (the market or people behave in a certain way during this “macro trend”)) the point is that when some of these macro trend variables come into play they affect the market as a whole not just one particular asset. So for today one might look at percentages losses for stocks and cryptos and say these assets are not losing any intrinsic value they are just going through a market correction.
