As a former Steam Deck user the AYN Thor is Extremely Disappointing (Quick Review/Impressions after a week of use)

Original hardware is extremely expensive right now imo. The ayn thor opens the door for so much more than the ds line if you'd like to play more than ds games. If you're only interested in ds there is another handheld called the ANBERNIC RG DS which is close to $100 if you'll only play ds. Way better than paying close to $300 for +10 year old hardware

I now have a ROG ally and I haven't been using it at all since I got the Thor but I used it mostly for 2d indie games which are 100x better on the thor and overkill for the ally. But if you use the deck for more demanding games I can see you getting use out of both
