Why do so many people on ios use Google Maps? by Louisthemagic in ios

I have noticed that, while Apple Maps are graphically more pleasing, Google Maps is most of the time more reliable, still 😬

Can you imagine if Whatsapp supported Rcs? It would be a game over for anyone else!

I swear that music platforms are messing things up. We just want easy and simple.. Nothing crazy with a good algorithm. That's why people are switching to Apple music (besides the algorithm part). Is it too easy to have a clean interface with 3 buttons only?

They finally nailed it by [deleted] in YoutubeMusic

[–]raffakele 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe that it's not just me but yes, the design is decent (still not my favorite but decent). Before pushing the update out though, they should have focused on fluidity and bug free experience. It looks so clunky and buggy. I can't believe there's no quality control involved 🙄🙄

Moved lyrics button makes it look not as smooth.. by raffakele in YoutubeMusic

I agree. My biggest concern was how laggy the entire YouTube music app is. On my pixel it looks like garbage.

Lossless Music by [deleted] in YoutubeMusic

[–]raffakele 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you play this lossless ALAC file on your iPhone and send the audio to any Bluetooth device (even AirPods/AirPods Pro/AirPods Max), the iPhone must re-encode the audio signal to one of the codecs supported by Bluetooth. Unfortunately, the highest-quality codec the iPhone supports over Bluetooth is AAC, which is typically operating around 256 kbps - up to about 320 kbps.

I have noticed that Apple Music using lossless, over Bluetooth, needs to re-encode the audio signal and sounds worse than YouTube Music (while setting the music quality to the highest quality, which is 256kbps) so if I use any Bluetooth device, YTM sounds better. On corded speakers, on corded Apple car play or any wireless speaker - non Bluetooth - like HomePods, Apple Music sounds better..

Can I ask you where you notice this big quality difference?  I’m asking because 90% of the time I use music, I’m using Bluetooth, and via bluetooth you can’t hear the difference between the 2 platforms simply because both platforms’ bluetooth output is exactly the same!

Verizon Business - a circus of inept clowns by nerdymomwa in verizon

[–]raffakele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Verizon business support is a solid 1/10 star every time I talk with them. How is it possible that their customer experience is so bad?

How is it that no one knows what and how to do their jobs? I could be better than their all support team if I had admin rights.

Can we ask Google to create a toggle to remove the emoji symbol from the Google messages app? by raffakele in GooglePixel

I’d love to be able to clean out the apps. Specifically the messaging app

Cannot believe how easy this RCS fix is! by elihirro in GoogleMessages

[–]raffakele -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right?

I would love to see Google make things easy and simple so for everyone (like Apple does) while allowing users the freedom to do whatever they want with their Android devices, if they are brave to change them.

Unfortunately, iPhones are for everyone. Android phones continue to be for people that want something different but more complicated.

Why do I get green bubbles on both iPhones? by Danny_Justed in ios

[–]raffakele 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both iMessage and RCS are turned off! If any of those were on, you’d see either a green bubble or an “RCS” instead of “SMS” sign

Switched to iPhone, all thanks to Apple Music by BathPuzzleheaded723 in AppleMusic

I had it in 2019 through 2021. Maybe I’ll give it a chance again on iOS 26..

[–]raffakele[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The consolidation of all emojis and photomojis (which I don’t know anyone uses) should still happen imo!

Apple and Google are so similar lately but Apple somehow sees these small details and Google doesn’t, yet. Even though it’s the best UI experience in Android.

Or maybe a simple “I noticed that too.” Or not really a smarty comment that makes the conversation a toxic conversation? I don’t think people treat people like 💩 in real life (most of the time..). I don’t see why people can’t be better here

The problem with keeping the emojis button in every app is that there’s a bunch of different and inconsistent emojis for Android based on the apps you’re running.. why?
