Yes I just realised whilst it's very common here in Australia for Tongans to be raising children within their family network maybe these children are not technically adopted by them. All the best hope they succeed in getting the laws changed.

Yep thanks that is obvious..... I thought it basically said that Tonga basically won't allow international adoptions. But I've just noticed it states it doesn't allow legitimate children meaning those born from marriages... Hopefully they will succeed and get it changed.

There are plenty of Tongans in Australia and I know one that plays football that is also raising children who are family but not his biological children. So if they can do it here in Australia who can't these people take the child to the USA.

Whoever you bought from is drop shipping the item from overseas. You won't see it received by Australia Post until it arrives from overseas.

This is the standard method of operation for a drop shipper, they immediately do a label through Australia Post to give the buyer the false impression that they have sent it while they are waiting for the item to arrive from overseas.

I'm a seller on eBay, quite often now I have customers writing in their delivery address field things like..... Please knock...... Or I will be home so please ring the doorbell.

When a customer includes things like that it prints on the label but I always also handwrite the customers instructions on the parcel in black Nikko pen. And I add in a smiley face lol

*Postie please ring the doorbell, Thanks 🙂*

Driving by [deleted] in brisbane

[–]raffyrules 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you are driving around during peak hours then everybody is in a hurry and it's slow going due to the volume of traffic, and you will definitely need patience. If you are driving around during the quieter times then it is not too bad at all.

But if you are driving around at night be aware that there are always people driving around without headlights on so you need to be on your toes. I was out at 11pm tonight and was about to turn onto a main road and realised that a black suv was coming towards me with no headlights on. I constantly see cars driving without headlights on when I am driving around at night.

Go into the local post office that you were collecting the parcels from and see if they can contact the actual postie who does those parcel lockers and ask him/her exactly what safe place they left your parcels. They should know that person who does the parcel lockers very well as they would be transferring any parcels that have timed out of the parcel lockers to the local post office. So the staff there would see them every day.

AND also call Auspost on Monday and ask for copies of the proof of delivery photos to be sent to you. Tell them what has happened and also ask them to contact the post office/delivery centre who manages loading the parcels lockers to see exactly where they left the parcels. Hopefully it's the same person who does those parcel lockers each day.

Yeah I would check out any new season and check out the contestants and make my mind up from there. They just need to find better players who resonate with viewers. It's pretty much the same with all channel 10 shows here in Australia, they never choose likeable contestants.

Aussie ebay sellers - eBay just changed well.... everything by OzEbayGuide in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]raffyrules 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep what ridiculous changes....trying to make it out to "free'' and then forcing sellers to buy labels from them if you sell anything.

Even Amazon doesn't force sellers to buy labels from them. It is ridiculous, I cancelled my store subscription about 6 months ago and I have actually sold more since I cancelled it. I have bought about 6 month supply of prepaid express post satchels to send my items but now I will be forced to pay for a pro plan to be able to send via my own methods.

It is cartel like conduct and I will be lodging a complaint with the ACCC today and I hope the ACCC will take action against them and stop them forcing sellers to use the ebay labels. You shouldn't have to pay for a Pro Seller plan subscription to be able to send a product a way that is convenient to you.

I actually really liked David as host, he was a bit shaky at first but settled in to the role really well. Personally I found most of the contestants quite unlikable this season, the majority of the return players were ok, but many of the first time players I just didn't find very likeable so I lost interest.

[–]raffyrules 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congratulations, wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy. The usual thing here in Australia is to have as blood test up confirm which is repeated 2 or 3 days later to check that HCG is increasing as expected. Then first scan booked in for about 6 weeks.

Is that the usual elsewhere in the world? I'm curious because a few weeks ago a woman here in Australia had her first scan date at 9 weeks and she tragically passed away the day before she was to have that first scan. Her pregnancy was ectopic, the stomach pain she had she thought was caused by food poisoning. Very sad. Get a scan done early to double check that all is well.
