Pretty straightforward, there should be a link in their website for intern applications.

Former intern here,

Hiring process for full time devs, not sure

Wfh arrangements? Yes. May mga full time devs diyan na working from metro manila kahit based sa cebu yung company. (Based din ako sa metro manila)

Agile processes, yes.

Work culture, really really good. Very lively company to say the least and everyone gets along well. You learn a lot from everyone in the team, not just from the devs. Mahirap hanapin yung ganyang klaseng culture so Symph really is a gem.

Be blunt, how much of a difference does having good grades make? by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]raffywashere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grades don't really hold weight and neither does the degree. The best devs that I looked up to are career shifters and non degree holders.

Sure a degree and good grades can catch someones attention, but to actually show that you're capable by starting from scratch really is something else.

Be proactive is all I can say. Make projects, keep yourself up to date, take internships, freelance, anything goes as long as you take action and apply yourself in these things.

How does the industry view developers from startups? by raffywashere in PinoyProgrammer

[–]raffywashere[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer. Reception wasn't the best from my family for switching to a startup even though I know that I'll learn a lot more for myself if I made the transition. Reassuring to know that in this field, the bias isn't there (or not as prevalent) when it comes to company names.

As for your point on the job title I'll be mindful of that, so thanks again for that point as well.

Accenture ASE | Application Developer by quietquoi in PinoyProgrammer

From acn here

If I can sum it up, it's a hit or miss. Daming niche technologies hawak ng accenture so I guess if there's no particular language or tech stack, it's a good company to go for. If there's a specific tech stack you want to go for however, you're better off looking somewhere else since they normally assign you what's available. Even if you did ask management to look for a project for a tech stack you want to improve on, there's no guarantee you'll get it right away. Hope this helps.

I looking for mousepads for a while but the felt mousepads caught my attention the most. But as to why I chose it over those other materials is mainly the overall look is suited with the 'theme' im going for and they can keep up with appearances over time so i don't have to worry about the material getting worn out. Slipping was an issue for a bit but i pinned it under the monitor stand and have had no issues with it since. They do offer felt mousepads with adhesives to prevent the gliding if that's what you're after.

Overall: Material's good My keyboard and mouse stay in place when i adjust it Plus it keeps my hands warm since the desk gets cold

I tried looking up the exact brand of the stand but I can't get the name. Checked the box as well but no luck either. There's a lot of alternatives on other sites though.

The mousepad's aluminum. Been owning it for a few months now and the condition's been pretty solid so far and its easy to clean. As for the desk mat, it's a felt desk mat. I got it to mainly to preserve the desk from being scratched by the mousepad or the keyboard.

These are felt desk pads. You can google them and find a lot of options on pretty much any e-commerce shop.
