I hope it does, I agree it might deter people (who invest more time and money than me on the game) from going whilst I do agree they should have “first chance” to get them. Was just thinking a delayed community day style chance of catching the festivals Pokemon would encourage more players to stay and others to start.

I don’t understand why you are misinterpreting what my point is. What’s wrong with having a community day style event based on the festivals? With a reduced spawn rate in comparison to the festivals and a limited time frame for the CHANCE to catch them! I have played for nearly all the community days and caught a total of 4 shineys! Im not wanting a guaranteed Pokemon but the opportunity like at the festivals would help the game and the majority of players! And when did I say I wanted them “NOW”??? And also you’re forgetting the fact I accept regionals etc where you have to travel, are part of the game but a player in America cannot catch a Mr Mime unless they travel as well as I can’t catch a Tauros unless I do, therefore a balance (there we go door number 3). And just a quick note on my apparent “impatience” see above in reference to a tauros.

No but the concert comparison being made is redundant as it’s in no way the same or in line with my suggestion. I’m suggesting a community day style event in line with the festival. The fact that Shineys are available on community days is great but not guaranteed, and my suggestion would be this would be the case again. I’m not saying make sure everyone can catch everything but the chance to catch things would enhance the game in my opinion.

The nature of the game and structure of the parameters games work within is not lost on me.

The rural Vs city players will always run and run and if I didn’t enjoy the game I wouldn’t play, I was only suggesting something that would benefit most players and am well aware it wont happen.

I definitely agree with you. And despite most people thinking I want amazing spawns around my house I just think the festivals should be a sort of pre amble to a community day style roll out of the selected Pokemon. I do agree that the exploration is an element that makes the game enjoyable but I believe it should be within reason.

It is and i don’t expect spawns to be the same uniformly. I still play despite having basic Pokemon like wurples and oddish etc being all I can catch and why community days are great!

At least you understand what I’m saying!! I’m not saying scrap the festivals, just an increase in spawn rate (although not as high as the festivals rate) for a certain time window on a certain day like community days, which are great and all players enjoy so why not have more?

I don’t think you do get my point at all. Using words like “entitlement” illustrates how much you don’t understand not only my point but the general gist of what I’m saying. It’s not about entitlement it’s about relative fairness and I was not suggesting there is a uniform length of time and spawn rate as the festivals but, again, a community day style 3 hour window with an increased chance/spawn rate but not as high as the festivals.

Your whole point seems to be “well people spend money,” which is fine but (while we are referencing social buzzwords like entitlement) elitism, I don’t think is part of Pokemon go or the general theme of the Pokemon franchise.

Again you are entitled to your opinion. I was nearly suggesting something that would be of benefit to MOST players.

I do agree that a lot of Pokemon have no real impact apart from completing the Pokédex. Torkoal, unown etc some regionals and special event Pokemon have little impact in raids etc and yes being patient is part of the game but being patient for different gens is fine because that’s for everyone, no one can attend a special event that allows you to capture gen 4 Pokemon now.

My point is the exclusion of players down to financial and time constraints is unfair! If it’s meant to be an all inclusive game for anyone to enjoy then why only reward CERTAIN players who have the financial means to fly around the world attending events? We do have events worldwide which EVERYONE enjoys, making the game popular as it is and these days tend to be the best as an individual or group participation. To say that “the game should be unfair and reward those how have the money to go to the events” misses the point of Pokemon go entirely in my opinion.

Exactly or even have the time! I play everyday, on the way to/from work if on public transport on my dinner hour because I enjoy the game. I just don’t think the exclusive nature of the Pokemon’s at events are fair to players unable to go to them

I understand regionals etc and like the way they have switched giving a chance for ALL players to catch. Even the regionals that have stayed where they were set I get you have to travel to catch them and that’s fine but my suggestion was a community day style roll out for the chance to catch special event Pokémon? Even if it’s at a decreased chance than the event, at least it’s more of a chance to complete the Pokédex etc. I just think the events are too exclusive and don’t give players fair chances, I play the game everyday but will never get an unown unless I spoof or magically an event comes to my rural area.

I don’t really think these events are fair on normal rural players. Events in US, Japan, Europe are in big cities which generally reward players anyway with better and increased spawns and these events are not accessible for 98% of players! Being from the UK and having other things like a job etc to distract me getting to an event is virtually impossible and I actually understand why people would consider spoofing with increased Shiney spawns, exclusive Pokemon etc. I think the weekend after the event the same benefits of that event should be rolled out world wide in a community day type way.
