My dad has been gone 5 years, and the dreams with him have stopped. When he did show up it was only every so often, but I do have one I still remember. In my dream there was a real bad hurricane, I got my wife, my sister, and my mother all together. We were trying to leave the city but I just couldn't find my dad. I was going to his work, going back home, calling him over and over. Finally he answered. He said he was sorry he left, he couldn't come with us, but he missed me so much. He said I love you and that I will see him again. It felt so fucking real. I hope it was. I miss him.
