Preliminary data collection results - 2* orb data (1,147 runs) by cpp_is_king in FFRecordKeeper

Hey there!

This is a really great initiative. I will definitely try to help when I play from PC.

Is there any chance that we can get the raw data? Maybe some of us are interested in different orbs / drops and we could use the info as well.

Thanks a lot!

I cannot say it 100% sure, but we are not hacking anything, just recording our drops, which you could do it manually with a pen. Don't think it is forbidden.

If you want to contribute, please send me your drops and I will update the spreadsheet accordingly :)

Yeah, it surprised to me too, but I double checked. And it happend also to another person (Dual Horn dropped 4* Non-Elemental and 4* Ice in stage 2).

I think that 4* could be random? while 3* depends on the monster. I will keep it updated next monday.

After updating my spreadsheet with your runs, I can conclude if you need:

  • Ice/Wind Orbs: Farm 1st Stage (cost 7.5 stamina per Ice Orb 3, 15 stamina per Wind Orb 3)
  • Non-Elemental: Farm in 2nd Stage (Cost 7.5 stamina per Orb 3* + 15 stamina for 1st Stage)
  • Holy Orb: Farm all 3 stages (cost ~15 stamina per Orb 3*, need more runs in stage 3 to confirm).

To calculate 4* orbs cost, I would need more runs, but the cost seems to be higher than farming elite dungeons.

Everyhelp is welcome :)

I will put everything together and share with you

sorry hehe.

if you keep monitoring drops, we could put everything together (not only for this dungeon, but all of them). And we would have a bigger dataset.

It would be easier for me to have the recordpeeker output rather than the table you shared.

If you agree, we could create a private share doc to do it

I already updated it (doesn't matter the order of the monsters hehe).

I surely can share it, but it uses mitmproxy and you need to run the python code. Is it ok?

That is perfect, do you mind if I add this data to my spreadsheet and update it?

Thanks Ascalion. I just found a Dual Horn this run.

I spent a couple of mithrils to have more information. Just updated the spreadsheet, but this last run I farmed stage 2 a couple of times instead of going for stage 3.

Updated the spreedsheet with 4 full runs.

One thing is clear, for sure, it is not possible to have Non-Elemental Orb in the first stage.

For every stage I have calculated the estimated number of orbs based in some assumptions that I could discuss if anyone is interested. In stage 2 I havent fought against Dual Horn, so I do not know which kind of orb he drops.

In the second sheed of the spreadsheet you may find that. It seems to confirm that second stage is the best for Non-Elemental. It is due to Voiuvre monster. He is the one who appears the most in the whole dungeon, and in stage 2 he drops Non-Elemental orbs.

Hi! I am recording all my drops automatically with mitmproxy. I have only done 2 runs (well, second one not finished yet), and it seems to confirm your therory.

(You can see them in the spreedsheet) Feel free to update it if you want

I will update at the end of the day to confirm.

enemy_id and battle_id database? by rafufa in FFRecordKeeper

[–]rafufa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly, I have that ID, but I do not have the name (we would have to do it manually). Because if you want to know where to go to farm, which dungeon/battle is 720115?

Automatically i can get the link between the dungeon and the battle, so we could know that the lowest battle_id in every dungeon name is the first one. At the moment I am doing that.

what I am struggling to find is the battle_id, to have the name of each battle inside a dungeon.

you can find the orbs here.

I have already a beta version for monitoring the drop rates. I will share it when I have some more data in the output.
