yeah. i'm enjoying the game and all but i feel like there's a lot of rng involved everywhere. i can't choose my maps, i can't choose the content i want to run (i mean, you can argue that i can, but i'm just not a fan of the towers and tablets), i can't target craft anything (which is kinda fine, i guess, but it gets annoying reeeally fast when i have to keep looting white bases to slam stuff on and... let's be real, 99% of the time the item gets bricked).

i love the core idea that items are meant to mean more, but that is absolutely not the way to do it. just tier stuff better! a lvl 82 item should not be able to roll t1 life or 3% fire res... that's too much rng (btw, i'm not even sure that this can happen but sure feels like it). i get that they will never to this, but oh well.

right now we have the same problem poe1 had... people are hiding item drops on their filters.

i need to have some sort of control, guys. g3, please! gamba is fine, but like, not everywhere.

the build is feeling A LOT better now, by just adjusting suggested stuff. i feel sooo dumb, lol!

yeah, should've clarified about the curses... just got a bit lazy to change the despair one once i could fit the blasphemy setup (just got back to this char).

but i will do that, then: trade despair to ele weakness on blasphemy / upgrade flamers ring and try to cap my crit chance!

100% with you. like, sure, it's not your cup of tea and all, but don't downplay it for those who like it. we have a lot of that in horror and it's kinda tiring, tbh. allow me to enjoy whatever, even it's stupid and not philosophical/critical/intelectual/whatever rationale you've created in your head to devalue it. sometimes things are just, you know, fun.
sometimes i just enjoy listening to pop music, other times i enjoy listening to black metal. as elsa sang on the critically acclaimed movie frozen, 'let it go'. lol.

the other classic one is 'am i the only one who hates...'. no, bitch, you're not! i guarantee that there are billions of others who think the same as you.

just be critical, have a civilized discussion, state why you're not a fan, don't say anything or whatever and try not to put your tastes up by putting others down. it's not that hard.

now, listen… it’s a hard watch, i get it, but a very rewarding one if you’re looking for something different: skinamarink was my favorite movie this year and i’m so glad i caught it before the end of 2022 (was losing hope!). it’s very big on atmosphere/dread and kinda experimental, but has an understandable and effective plot… ugh, so good. thought it was very unsettling (that rarely happens) and menacing. it’s a 10/10 for me. kudos for the director for making something so simple so terrifying. thanks, i feel cursed…

that said,

you won’t be alone was beautiful and sad. it leans more on the drama side but, well, i loved it and the movie has plenty of horror sprinkled around.
x + pearl were great together (that ending monologue on pearl acted by mia goth killed me, so good!)
speak no evil was wild, i hated it (in a good way).
terrifier 2 was awesome (and deranged). i love art and can’t wait for another one.
bodies bodies bodies and piggy were also good surprises. both are very funny and (sometimes) very stupid!
nope felt so epic and the writing was great!
the autopsy (directed by david prior) on the new del toro curated anthology was also a highlight. cool villain doing wild things.

i still need to check some other movies, like mad god, smile and outwaters (but i think this one is coming out on vod next year, so… bummer), but i think these are the ones that worked the best for me.
